Blake Shelton is leaving The Voice after Season 23 and as the Blind Auditions round of the competition comes to a conclusion, the country star took his chair for one final spin.
Aspiring contestant Grace West got the honor of being the final singer to join Shelton’s team on the NBC reality competition series. The teenager performed Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis” which prompted Shelton to press the red button and spin his chair for her. However, soon after Shelton pressed the button former One Direction groupmate and new coach, Niall Horan followed suit.
Shelton connected with Grace by recalling that he moved to Nashville when he was 17 to work for a publishing company, just like her, with dreams of one day becoming a country superstar.

Tuesday’s conclusion of The Voice’s Season 23 Blind Auditions not only introduced four more promising contestants, it raised a question: Wth had Alyssa Lazar done to wind up performing the only tryout to be abbreviated to near nothingness?
Over the five episodes that made up the Blinds, the show found time for a Jimmy Fallon gag. It found time to remind us a zillion times over that this is Blake Shelton’s last visit to the rodeo. It found time to give Chance the Rapper a gimmick and pass down the finger-point schtick from Blake to “son” Niall Horan.

Hurricane Beverly blows into Nashville this week, and the damage she leaves in her wake is considerable, irrevocable and really, really annoying.
Even Gunnar at his Season 1-iest could not evoke as much of my ire as Scarlett’s mom does when she shows up and acts exactly as you’d expect of someone who once literally drove her daughter mad.
On the plus side, even Deacon’s irritating sister — and the setback in his illness in which she becomes involved — can’t push him into the pit of despair I feared he’d call home once his diagnosis set in.

Danielle Bradbery is a star, that’s really the bottom line. The Voice is full of talent, but it takes a specific kind of singer to stand out — and coach/mentor Blake Shelton has helped Danielle to really shine.
Danielle Bradbery Has The Most Potential As An Artist
At 16, Danielle did her first big performance ever on The Voice stage, taking on Taylor Swift‘s “Mean.” Now, just three months later, she’s a superstar.
As her coach, Blake has transformed a shy high school girl into a mature, beautiful star. Not only has her voice become stronger, but her maturity has also increased tremendously, as well as her confidence.

Well, "Voice" fans, this is it --the week we've been waiting for. Our Top 3 are prepping to take the stage and sing for America's votes one final time. With Season 4 down to just Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers, will coach Blake Shelton have a threepeat or might newbie coach Usher take the title? As fellow coaches Adam Levine and Shakira watch on, it's in America's hands. Who will earn the crown? Let's get started.
Before the fun can begin, it's time for the obligatory look back at everyone's road to the finals. Interesting fact: Each artist in the Top 3 had three out of four coaches turn for them during the blind auditions.
Kicking things off, musically, our Season 4 coaches are treating us to a group performance of The Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends." It's a fun treat for fans, but the numbers seems to be a little under-rehearsed,...

Will the winner of this season's The Voice be a little bit country? Or whole lot indie rock?
The three remaining acts on the singing competition made it tough for voters on Monday, each turning out distinctive performances on the show's energetic live final competition, which saw coaches Blake Shelton and Usher take heartfelt meetings with the artists and their families.
Predictions for the winner came directly from the judges themselves, with Adam Levine who quickly called it for Texas teen Danielle Bradbery, the show's youngest competitor. At just 16, she covered hits by a host of Nashville's powerhouse female singers including Patty Loveless,...

The battle lines have all been drawn and the fandoms have been essentially locked in for several weeks now on Season 4 of The Voice. So the question entering tonight’s Live Finals was this: Would (or could) any voters be swayed to switch allegiance?
The question exiting it, though, was quite different: Why did one of the three competing acts get a hefty advantage by scoring two out of the last three solo performance slots on the telecast? (Spoiler alert: It wasn’t The Swon Brothers or a member of Team Usher.)
Look, I know Danielle Bradbery is as easy...

Blake Shelton kicked off The Voice‘s Season 4 Top 6 results night with a declaration that wasn’t entirely believable: “I cannot wait to see who the Final 5 are gonna be!” Yeah, okay, maybe that was part of the story, but the only coach not to lose a single contestant in almost a month had legitimate reasons to be nervous, too.
“People rely on iTunes,” Blake added — or rather, where each contestant lands Tuesday morning on the music-download service’s Hot 200 singles chart — to gauge who’s most likely to be evicted from the show each week. And with a pair...

After Judith Hill left The Voice last week, Sasha Allen of Team Shakira stepped up Monday to claim her spot as the show's reigning powerhouse diva.
In two strong performances that showed off her confidence, Allen, 31, proved she's a contender among the final six artists who sang a song of their choice and one picked by their coach.
Allen, a New Yorker and mother of two, was even compared to Beyoncé's famous alter-ego.
"I guess there is more than one Sasha Fierce," Usher said of Allen, who belted Carrie Underwood's hit "Before He Cheats" – ripping off her long, red...

"The Voice" is ready to wrap up Season 4 , with the Top 6 taking the stage on Monday (June 3) to fight for America's vote. Each artist will take the stage twice tonight, with a song of their choosing and another selected by their superstar coach (Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Usher or Shakira). Only one artist is getting the boot tomorrow. Who will it be?
Holly Tucker: "When God Fearing Women Get The Blues" by Martina McBride
Blake wants to continue the streak of attitude that he had Holly tap into last week. During her performance, she sounds typically great, but the display of sass again feels a bit forced. It's going to continue to earn her votes, though. So, it's fine. The coaches all comment that it's been fun to see Holly come out of her shell throughout the competition, with Blake telling her it's his favorite of her performances all season.

Welcome to NBC’s The Voice: Country Strong, home of gingham dresses and boot-cut jeans, chewin’ tobacco and four wheelers, and Blake & Miranda as your royal couple. The letter “g” need not apply for the apostrophe’s position at the end of such words like singin’, dancin’, comin’ or goin’. Y’all.
And no, I’m not mocking the redneck way of living. (I’ve had my share of Pabst from a can while sitting around a bonfire, if you must know.) I’m just shocked that Season 4 of NBC’s reality singing competition seems to have abandoned any notion of musical versatility.

It's night two of the live playoffs on Season 4 of "The Voice," with reigning champ Blake Shelton and newbie coach Shakira's teams taking the stage to prove they deserve the shot to make it to the Top 12. With Adam Levine and Usher's teams taking the night off after a rousing night one, which of tonight's singers will rise to the occasion and which will crumble under the pressure?
Shakira is so cute with her nerves: "All my fingernails are going to be gone tonight."
Blake taking his team out to karaoke to get them ready for their first live performance is hysterical. It's quite in line with Blake's whole goofball persona. All those country kiddos singing "We Are Family" was cute.
This group performance of Little Big Town's "Boondocks" is proof that Team Blake will be playing to their base this season. I'd be shocked if...

People say the darndest things on The Voice. Tonight’s Live Playoffs episode — featuring the members of Team Shakira and Team Blake fighting to make the Season 4 Top 12 — found host Carson Daly dropping this bomb mot: “It’s clear tonight that Blake [Shelton] doesn’t know where ‘the girl place’ is.” (Somewhere, someone at Parents Television Council HQ is firing off a strongly worded email.)
If that wasn’t enough, we had Blake blasting a fire hose of hyperbole at viewers by calling solid but hardly electrifying teenager Danielle Bradbery “one of the most important artists” who’s ever been on the show.

Between Rayna's road spats with Juliette, Teddy walking out on her, Avery gloriously failing at life and Liam's general smarminess, Nashville was really on a roll until that last uneventful dud of an episode aired. Luckily, that snooze-fest was merely a hiccup. Nothing like some tabloid controversy, celebrity cameos, a relapse into alcohol addiction and the show's first death to get the drama back into gear on what was Nashville's darkest, heaviest tearjerker to date. And all in an episode that centered on a party? Even better.

There is the great music, and there is the juicy drama - but one of the main reasons Nashville has been so good in its first season is the fact that Deacon Claybourne is just so easy to love. That was never more obvious than in "Dear Brother."
The someone-doesn't-like-celebrating-a-birthday bit has been done to death in every medium, but the same old story didn't feel so old here due in large part to Chip Esten being so darn charming.
Whether it was every time he talked about watching Old Yeller on his special day, the fact that he didn't cause a fuss when he showed up to the surprise he never wanted or how concerned he was for Rayna when finding out about the divorce, Deacon was unbelievably likeable throughout the hour.

Deacon is another year older, but it’s Juliette who comes across as much wiser in this week’s Nashville. When things don’t go exactly her way, the drama queen (surprisingly) takes it in stride and even shows evidence of growing as a human. It’s a Deacon-birthday miracle! Meanwhile, Music City turns out for Deke’s surprise party, Rayna hides from paparazzi and Gunnar gets some supremely bad news.
Let’s review the big developments in “Dear Brother.”

So far, Nashville has shied away from tapping into Music City's vast stable of stars for celebrity cameos, focusing instead on the fictional fame of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). That all changes in this week's episode, which features guest appearances from real Nashville notables Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, Kip Moore, Kate York and the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. They play themselves as guests at a star-studded surprise party that Juliette throws for Deacon (Charles Esten) at the Bluebird.

"Nashville's" Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) has been having a tough few months. She's been forced to tour with upstart pop starlet Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) after the young diva stole Rayna's former flame and loyal guitarist Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) as her own bandleader and she's watched her marriage with Teddy (Eric Close) disintegrate after her husband asked for a divorce. Clearly, being on top clearly ain't all it's cracked up to be.
In HuffPost TV's exclusive preview clip from this Wednesday's episode (Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. Est on ABC), Rayna is given another unwelcome reminder about the price of fame after she tries to watch her daughters' ballet class in peace. Sadly, when you're in the public eye, it seems like all your dirty laundry is fair game for both nosy moms and paparazzi.
