Actor Varun Badola, who plays a layered character in ‘Wrong Turn’, is happy that the teleplay will now be translated into Kannada and Telugu. Inspired by ‘Die Panne’ (The Breakdown), a 1956 novel by Swiss writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Ranjit Kapoor’s acclaimed teleplay ‘Wrong Turn’ produced by Zee Theatre is now being translated in Kannada and Telugu for audiences in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
He said: “Because of dubbing, subtitling, and translations, multilingual stories are reaching more people than ever before. I have done two Tamil Ad films, but as an actor, I am looking forward to being a part of this shift and would love to work in many more regional narratives.”
In ‘Wrong Turn’, he plays Arun, a man who walks into an old house one rainy night after his car breaks down. Here, he meets three retired lawyers amusing themselves with a game that he agrees to join.

With now 20 years of Ddlj magic we wanted to bring this favorite feature back.
One thing you must know about BollySpice is that we all write about what we love, which is Bollywood, and for many of us here on the team, one of the films we love the most is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge or Ddlj. The film debuted on October 20, 1995 and 20 years later it is still playing! Since many of our writers do love Ddlj so much, we wanted to pay tribute, once again, to this iconic film!
First the story:
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is a story about human relationships.
Chaudhry Baldev Singh (Amrish Puri) is a London based immigrant. He, along with his wife Lajwanti (Farida Jalal) and two daughters Simran (Kajol) and Chutki (Pooja Ruparel) have been living in London for the past several years. A true Indian at heart, Chaudhry Baldev Singh is a...

Well Done Abba
Well Done Abba has turned out to be a sort of a tragedy. Yes, it’s a satirical take on our system, more particularly how government schemes actually become cash cows for corrupt officials while the targeted beneficiaries – the common man – remain as poorly off as ever. It even raises occasional laughs, if not guffaws, through its ironic representation of all the loopholes in the system that are exploited to the hilt by those who are part of it. The victim being, the common man, in this case Armaan Ali of Chikkatpally near Hyderabad, who ekes out a living by driving the luxurious car of a well-off businessman in Mumbai and has a perky daughter back home to look after. With a gamut of characters that reflect the rot in the system in the backdrop of the growing lack of access to water across the nation, Well Done Abba,...
