Last week, we learned that actress Jewel Staite would guest star on DC's Legends of Tomorrow and that she would play a character named, Rachel Turner. We also learned that she would be a descendant of one of The CW's Dctv characters and that she'd have a tech background. Showrunner Phil Klemmer has provided additional clues, ruling out characters from Arrow and The Flash as possible ancestors for Turner. "Firefly" alum Jewel Staite will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of "Legends of Tomorrow". When "Legends of Tomorrow" kicks off later this month, it will be taking its audience to DC Comics's past, present, and future. Characters from "The Flash" and "Arrow" will be moving backwards and forwards in time meeting younger versions of themselves, older versions of themselves and distant relatives of characters that may not have yet made their CW debut. As we draw clsoer to the January 21 premiere for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, more and more info about the show continues to be released. The latest new is that Firefly fan-favorite Jewel Staite has joined the show in a guest role. According to TV Line, Staite will play a character named Rachel Turner, a "tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today." TV Line goes on to add that Staite's character has ties to someone from the Dctv Universe and that she's a descendant from a long line of inventors. Perhaps she's a descendant of The Flash's Cisco, LoT's Ray Palmer or Arrow's Felicity? Turner is scheduled to appear in episode 10 of the first season of the DC anthology superhero drama. ...
