- Had an operation on her throat, which resulted in her voice being as husky as it is.
- Friends with Catherine Zeta-Jones and attended her wedding to Michael Douglas.

- She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2022 Queen's Birthday Platinum Honours List for her services to Music. She is a singer in Neath Port Talbot, Wales.
