Kent L. Wakeford(1928-2020)

Kent Wakeford was born on January 23rd 1928 and whilst attending school
in his native Los Angeles, apprenticed to a fashion photographer,
before working as a cameraman for the Douglas Aircraft Company. He
spend two years in the US Army Signal Corps as cameraman in America and
Germany before becoming a free-lance documentary and advertising
lens-man before setting up his own commercials production company with
John Orloff - Wakeford/ Orloff. After making more documentaries he
teamed up with Martin Scorsese for 'Mean Streets', later collaborating
with Scorsese for 'Alice Doesn't Live here Anymore'.
