- Ann Wanjuga was an actress, known for Amin: The Rise and Fall (1981) and The Kitchen Toto (1987). She died on April 7, 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya.
- Wrote a number of plays, including The Stepmother, Dear God, Was It Really My Fault?, and Love At First Hearing.
- Actively involved in the foundation and running of a home for street children in Nairobi's suburbs.
- Although she dropped out of school in Grade 5 for lack of school fees, she enrolled at the Kenya National Theatre Drama School, went to the United Kingdom for a year's training, and returned to teach at the academy.
- Made her debut into performing arts at the age of 18, when she strayed from her housegirl's job and went into rehearsals with the Tausi Drama Group in Nairobi's Eastlands.
