Wrote a number of plays, including The Stepmother, Dear God, Was It
Really My Fault?, and Love At First Hearing.
Actively involved in the foundation and running of a home for street
children in Nairobi's suburbs.
Although she dropped out of school in Grade 5 for lack of school fees,
she enrolled at the Kenya National Theatre Drama School, went to the
United Kingdom for a year's training, and returned to teach at the
academy.
Made her debut into performing arts at the age of 18, when she strayed
from her housegirl's job and went into rehearsals with the Tausi Drama
Group in Nairobi's Eastlands.
