Oscar nominee Samantha Morton insists a one year break from acting to raise her four month old daughter Esme won't affect her career. The Sweet and Lowdown (1999) star has worked solidly for the last seven years, and feels it's time for a rest. But Morton denies that the break will have any negative effect on her work. She asserts, "No it's not a problem, because I've worked solidly since I was sixteen. I'm 23 now and I've never had a break. So taking a break to be a mum is the best thing really." And Morton feels that at this moment in her life, raising her new daughter is the most important thing. She says, "It's worlds better then getting an Oscar nomination. There's a song by The Waterboys called HOW LONG WILL I LOVE YOU and that's what it's like being a mum. " Morton doesn't yet know how she'll cope with being a working mother in a year's time, "I haven't really decided how I'm going to do it or how it's going to be yet. So I can't really comment."...
