- Served in Vietnam for (two) 2 tours as a Navy SEAL, before forming Niesi Goju with Master Frank Ruiz in NYC at The University of The Streets. Many exceptional 2nd unit people were produced from his training with his Dojo Brother Ron Van Cleff, Including Jeff Ward.
In many of the films, he worked on as 2nd unit stunt and Director of 2nd Unit for weapons and hand-to-hand combat.
Co-founded the martial art Chinese Goju with Ron Van Clief and founded his own system, Sung Lung Miu Goju, which he taught in Nevada. He studied with Master Peter Urban and Frank Ruiz of Nisei Goju who were noted Masters of Japanese Karate. Master Peter Urban brought Goju to the United States and Owen Watson won numerous national karate championships under his training.
His most noted Martial Arts motion pictures were "Force Four" and "Velvet Smooth" where his wife Sidney Filson also appeared in the 2nd unit as an actress and martial arts stunt instructor.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Paule Watson
