Former USA Gymnastics president Steve Penny will delay giving a deposition in a sexual abuse lawsuit until after he attends social functions at the Indianapolis 500 on May 28.
Los Angeles Superior Court judge Susan Bryant-Deason ruled that Penny could put off giving the deposition because of his networking needs at the race, reports the Orange County Register.
The deposition is related to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court against former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, Usag and Penny, among others.

Arguing the merits of Jesús Franco seems a blind alley to me. I know academic film writers that have seen dozens of his films and who assure me that they perceive an artist amid all the exploitation and pornography. Why not? I continue to see Franco as a fringe filmmaker of little talent and less interest. Keep anything up long enough and it...

With the next Bond movie not hitting big screens until October 2015, we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to find out just what 007 will be tackling in his next mission. What we do know is that Daniel Craig will once again have a licence to kill. Sam Mendes is back in the directors chair, and Ralph Fiennes along with Naomie Harris are highly likely to reprise their respective roles as well. The folks at Ladbrokes Casino are huge Bond fans, and like us they can’t wait either, so they commissioned a rather awesome set of posters from Daniel White, Jack Emmons, Lucas Jubb, Nathalie Otter and Matt Ferres. They take influence from just about everything to do with 007. From casinos, classic Bond ladies and of course the all important Bond mobile. They’ve got it all covered. Let us know in the comments which is your favourite!

With the next Bond movie not due till October 2015, the folks at Ladbrokes Casino have commissioned a set of rather cool posters from artists Daniel White, Jack Emmons, Lucas Jubb, Nathalie Otter and Matt Ferres – all influenced by the classic Bond tropes of casinos, cars, women and general badass-ery.
And whilst little is know about the next Bond outing, beyond the fact that Daniel Craig will once again play James Bond, Sam Mendes will be back in the directors chair, and Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris are likely to reprise their roles, you can console yourselves with the fact that there’s no way the new film will live up to the awesomeness of these posters…

When I wrote the first article about sexual violence the other day, I had much reader feedback that opened my eyes to even more films with acts of sexual violence that I hadn’t considered before. In particular, one reader pointed out the lack of male on male sexual violence in the list. This was a very pertinent observation so I decided to write a second list about screen sexual violence to redress the balance.
So please enjoy my second list of sexualised screen violence. There might be a third one if you can suggest enough films!
10. Female Vampire (1973)
Continental smut fest from that old reprobate of sleazy cinema – Jesus Franco. Irina von Karlstein (played with wild abandon by Lina Romay) is a sexy vampire who throughout the movie walks about wearing nothing more than a cape and a pair of thigh high boots. She is not your average bloodsucking vampire.

If you are a fan of football games, there was a lot to like about Madden NFL 10. The football giant underwent a huge upgrade in many areas, including the ProTak animation system, and finally delivered an online season mode for which fans had been clamoring. Despite these improvements, the running game was still somewhat disappointing. Still, Madden NFL 10 was clearly the best NFL video game to date.
Nonetheless, Espn NFL 2K5 fans have consistently complained about the run-blocking physics and AI, or lack thereof, in the Madden NFL series, including Madden NFL 10. EA Sports is not ignoring these cries and appears to be targeting these disenchanted gamers with its next iteration of the series. On the Madden NFL 11 blog, Mike Scantlebury, a gameplay designer for Electronic Arts Tiburon, debuted the “totally new” run-blocking AI for Madden NFL 11 and explained what football fans can expect:

Jesus Franco is one of the most prolific filmmakers alive and one of the few that makes Miike look lazy by comparison, which is really saying something! At the 2008 Nifff (Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival) in Switzerland I sat down with him and went over a wide variety of topics.
In this interview we talk about:
* On Projects Like Far Out That Pay Homage to Him
* Making Films Then Versus Now
* Favorites of the Films That He Made
- Venus in Furs from 1969 aka Black Angel
