Over the course of its soon-to-be four-season run, “The Good Place” has notoriously avoided spoilers. Trailers have been sparse-to-nonexistent, teases have been oblique, and cast and crew have been visibly afraid to discuss unaired episodes for fear of giving away precious plot points.
So it’s at least a tiny bit shocking that “The Good Place: The Selection” exists. A series of a half-dozen two-minute shorts that serve as a thematic and narrative handshake between Seasons 3 and 4 of the show, all of these mini-episodes are set in The Bad Place. Following the compromise that bought Michael, Eleanor, and the rest of the crew one last chance to save themselves from an eternity of suffering, “The Selection” tracks the efforts of Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) and his Bad Place underlings to find people that will help their side emerge victorious.

By mid-May, the broadcast networks must make some tough calls as to which series will return for the 2019-20 season, and which… won’t.
As that deadline draws near, TVLine is singling out a few “bubble” shows and sizing up their prospects — based in large part on creative strides (and stumbles) and future potential, but also with a requisite nod to cold, hard numbers.
Next up is a sitcom about… Ok, the title’s kind of on the nose with this one.

Parks and Recreation is nothing if not a place to find a vast array of loveable, quirky characters. Yet that was not always the case with Aziz Ansari‘s Tom Haverford. The Pawnee Parks Department’s erstwhile second-in-command was, in the NBC comedy’s debut season, actually a bit subversive. But after some tweaks here and rejiggering there, Tom — and Ansari — emerged as one of Parks‘ VIP players — a title of which he would no doubt approve. Here, Ansari discusses the evolution of his R&B-bumping (wannabe) playboy, reveals how much improv plays into his performance and shares some of his standout Season 4 moments.

Is there any chance at all that Sunday’s Dexter makes up for last week’s snore of an episode? — Dillon
The TV Addict:If by “make up for,” you mean offer one of the most unexpected and uncomfortable plot twists in the series’ sordid history, than well yes, Sunday’s penultimate episode of the season is not to be missed. That said, having still not shaken of the after-affects of one of the most spine-tingling and stupefying scenes Dexter has ever dared to deliver, we do feel it necessary to warn viewers that on a scale of “icky” to “grossest thing you can ever imagine,” Sunday’s episode is off the charts!
Any clues as to when Brennan will be delivering her baby on Bones? — Amy
The TV Addict:While we’re not 100% sure of this, all signs are pointing to Brennan delivering her baby when Bones returns from its post-January hiatus.
