Last week, former President Donald Trump kicked a protester who called him a “dictator” out of his rally before making claims about his mental health, opponents and opinions on presidential immunity.
“He’s a dictator,” a man in the crowd yelled an hour into this campaign event at the Southern New Hampshire University Arena in Manchester.
“Get him out,'” Trump stated while security surrounded the individual and had him removed from the arena.
“Now we know that politics is getting serious,” Trump stated jokingly.
Another man wearing a white Ku Klux Klan outfit was removed from the rally site before he could join the crowd.
He continued to attack Nikki Haley and brought in a group of lawmakers from South Carolina who have endorsed Trump.
Trump mocked Haley for asking if he has the mental fitness to be president after confusing her with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

No Maori Allowed, directed by Corinna Hunziger was named the winner of the Pasifika Award and recipient of a $5,000 cash prize at the Hawaii International Film Festival.
It recounts the story of a teacher who unearths a secret past in the town of Pukekohe. That causes Maori community figures to come forward to share personal stories that shaped their lives.
The festival’s Kau Ka Hōkū or shooting star award for an international emerging filmmaker making their first or second feature film, was awarded to “Asog,” by Sean Devlin. It is a tragicomic road film that follows a non-binary Filipino comedian pursuing their dream of becoming a pageant queen.
The jury also provided honorable mentions for performance to “Mustache,” directed by Imran Khan and to “Tiger Stripes,” directed by Amanda Nell Eu.

Emmy and Tony winner Judith Light has signed on as an executive producer for “Aikane,” an animated short film (formerly titled “Falling”) from the filmmakers behind “Kapaemahu” — Daniel Sousa, Dean Hamer, Joe Wilson and Hinaleimoana Wong-Kalu — which was shortlisted for the best animated short Oscar in 2021.
While “Kapaemahu” focused on Hawaii’s legendary gender-fluid healers, “Aikane” follows the romantic adventures of a valiant island warrior, a handsome young man and an octopus brought together by a twist of fate. The story is described as “an epic romantic adventure that instills hope in a time of rising prejudice and hate.”
Directed by Oscar-nominated animator Sousa (who also designed the film), Hamer and Wilson, Light is joined as an executive producer by Daniel Karslake, whose work “addresses the intersection of spirituality and social justice,” and Hawaiian teacher cultural leader Wong-Kalu, who has collaborated on six previous projects with married producing partners Hamer and Wilson.

Uncle Joe sure knows how to have a good time!
Former Vice President Joe Biden sat courtside on Wednesday as the Washington Wizards took on the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. And he even got in on the action.
In one photo from the night, 74-year-old Biden sported a wide smile after he passed an out-of-bounds ball to a referee. After the display, Biden went back to sharing a few laughs with Mark Ein, a venture capitalist turned tennis team owner, according to ABC News.

Vice President Joe Biden was in full “Uncle Joe” mode for his final swearing-in of new and re-elected senators on Tuesday.
Compliments, “dad jokes” and baby kisses (and snubs!) abounded as Biden held ceremonial swearing-ins for all Senate members of the new 115th Congress inside the old Senate chamber at the Capitol.
Here are some of Biden’s best lines of the day:

Elia Kazan's third picture is a hard-hitting noir, a true story that honors the efforts of a noble States' Attorney when confronted with a murder case that was a little too open-and-shut. Nothing gets my jollies jostled like a good holiday horror flick, but Red Christmas falls short of being the next killer yuletide classic. Twisted ideologies are present – along with an aggressive socio-political message (like most good B-Movies carry) – yet execution is more “ho-hum” than “Ho Ho Ho!” There’s surely a demented likability to this Australian family vacation gone awry, but this is a low, Low-budget affair – and it shows. In the cinematography, performances and special effects, it definitely, definitely shows.
Dee Wallace stars as a proud mother named Diane, whose only wish is for all of her closest family to gather and celebrate Christmas together (a wish that’s granted). There’s predictable sisterly banter (Sarah Bishop as Suzy, Janis McGavin as Ginny), drunken silliness, delectable food, plus Uncle Joe (Geoff Morrell) double-fisting his flask and a rolled joint. All in all, it’s a fairly expected holiday party – until a cloaked,...

Our host tonight is Melissa McCarthy, who allegedly burst onto the scene in 2011’s Bridesmaids, but anyone who tells you that doesn’t know about Sookie from Gilmore Girls and thus probably shouldn’t be trusted. Since Bridesmaids, McCarthy has been a consistent force in the American comedy scene, largely due to her collaborations with director Paul Feig on The Heat, Spy, and the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot with SNL’s own Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Kristen Wiig. This is her fourth time hosting in the last five years, clearly marking her as a favorite among the cast and crew, and it isn’t hard to see why-- she tends to turn out memorable characters and her extensive background in sketch comedy lends an air of professionalism and an ability to stay on her toes. Remakes have been a big part of the film industry ever since the silent era. As part of our ongoing series, Cinelinx looks at the remake of a beloved classic kid’s film to see how it compares to the original. This week, we look at Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) on its tenth anniversary.
In the last article, we talked about how the choice of actors can improve a remake. Sometimes it’s not even a question of a good actor or a bad actor. It’s about the right actor, and the choices he/she makes in the role. In this week’s article, we focus on how the wrong actor can spoil a remake.

Once Upon a Time in the West.
Stepping onto the sun-scorched plains of the wild, wild west — or, more accurately, the PlayStation Store — this week is Image & Form’s 2D platformer, SteamWorld Dig. Much like its unassuming protagonist, the company’s side-scrolling adventure has clambered up the gaming hierarchy over the last six months. Once a 3Ds eShop exclusive, the digital mining expedition is currently available through PC platforms and, more recently, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as part of Sony’s annual Spring Fever promotion.
Upon first glance, it’d be easy to dismiss SteamWorld Dig as a smorgasbord of different genres. From Spelunky’s loot-mongering to the resource management found in Terraria, the game undoubtedly draws from other titles in the side-scrolling genre. However, after several wondrous playthroughs, I soon discovered Image & Form’s title to be much, much more than the sum of its assimilated parts — the wild west,...

“Not so haaaard!” was uttered several times yesterday as we celebrated the life and career of Joe Besser, the ‘St. Louis Stooge’ at the Esquire Theater in St. Louis. The film festival was part of a campaign to raise awareness in St. Louis that Joe Besser is one of us and to perhaps get him a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame.
Attendance was strong at the fest yesterday with the crowd skewing older as though are the folks that remember Joe Besser who was born in 1907 and raised here, the 9th child of Morris and Fanny Besser up in Florissant. Joe Besser worked in vaudeville and Broadway and starred in his own comedy shorts for Columbia pictures before joining the Three Stooges in 1955 after Shemp Howard died suddenly. We used to be the bastard child of our American culture.
We were embarrassed by our public image. As we aged, we demanded our pastime mature along with us. We started to infiltrate the means of production, bringing our all-important ideas and ideals along with us. After all, the comics field skipped a generation – few could enter a business that, in the 1950s, was rapidly shrinking. Besides, the Reader’s Digest and the Saturday Evening Post were painting comic book writers and artists as child pornographers. Better to write for the torrid magazines where buff, all-American manly men were saving all-American buxom brunettes from Uncle Joe Stalin and his legion of rodent-faced S & M fanatics, leaving the comics door open for those starry-eyed youngsters who knew no better.
Nature abhors a vacuum, and publishers facing diminished profits understood that our generation worked for a lot less money than the cranky...

London, Oct 23: One mobster hated Frank Sinatra so much that he wanted to kill the singer, according to secret tapes put forward as evidence at the trial of an alleged mafia "boss."
The trial of Joseph "Uncle Joe" Ligambi, reputed head of the Philadelphia mob, began last Thursday after he was arrested on gambling and extortion charges in 2011.
Prosecutors claim that Ligambi provided video poker machines and other illegal gambling devices to bars, restaurants and shops in Philadelphia.
The prosecution wants to use tapes.

Although it's shot in lovely, dusty shades of brown with splashes of Coca-Cola red, John Hillcoat’s Lawless is dead weight: listlessly classical and then bludgeoning. The bootlegger folk heroes are members of a Franklin County, Virginia, clan led by the beefy Forrest Bondurant (Tom Hardy), whose wide-eyed younger brother Jack (Shia Labeouf) narrates and gets gruesomely beaten by the villain — corrupt Special Deputy Charles Rakes, played (appallingly) by Guy Pearce as a dandified bloodsucker and sexual pervert. When Pearce and Hardy face off, the film becomes Bad Day at Petticoat Junction: Uncle Joe Versus Dracula. It must be admitted that Hardy’s Bondurant is more intelligible than his Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, which elicited choruses normally heard at senior matinees in Florida: “What did he say?” “Something about Batman.” “Marzipan?” Here, he’s phlegmatically phlegmy, given to emitting little grunts: “Hmmm … mmmm … mmmm … ” The line on...
