“Rick and Morty” is one of the best-looking animated series on TV. As high-concept as these travels through technicolor dreamlands and psychedelic wormholes can get, “Rick and Morty” wouldn’t be what it is without some talented performers bringing the show’s characters to life.
In Season 3, series co-creator Justin Roiland did more of the heavy lifting than ever before (including anchoring an entire episode by his lonesome). But, as usual, this now-finished season also drew on some incredible voice talent for some one-off delights. Some of these guest stars were such a natural fit for the show that it’s surprising it took this long for the show to utilize their talents. (How did two whole seasons go by before a pair of “Community” folks showed up?)

Rick won’t have to wait nine seasons in order to get his hands on same Szechuan sauce. McDonald’s has confirmed via Twitter that it will be bringing back the legendary dipping sauce for one day only after a season-long outcry of support from “Rick and Morty” fans to get the sauce back on the menu.

The sauce entered headlines back on April Fool’s Day when the “Rick and Morty” Season 3 premiere included the following Rick quote: “I’m driven by finding that McNugget sauce. I want that Mulan McNugget Sauce. That’s my series arc, Morty. If it takes nine seasons, I want that McNugget Szechuan sauce.” The official “Rick and Morty” Twitter page leaned into the joke by posting the following message after the premiere’s surprise debut online.

As we approached the recent season 7 finale of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes made it very clear that he was willing to do anything it takes to keep his community alive and free from tyranny – even if that means they continue to thrive without him around to lead. Couple that with the fact that creator Robert Kirkman has hinted in the past (well, more flat-out stated) that Rick won’t last until the end of the comic book run, and there’s been plenty of speculation that the show will follow suit, but could we see it happen as soon as the next season?
During a recent interview, showrunner Scott Gimple was asked this very question, and though he obviously didn’t confirm or deny anything, he did seem to suggest that Rick’s demise is a very real possibility:

For someone who used to ask people three questions before trusting them on The Walking Dead, Rick trusted Jadis and her garbage people pretty quickly. And his decision quickly backfired on him in "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life." But Rick won't forget. And even though Negan and Jadis have a deal, would he protect her group if it came down to it? Because Rick won't hesitate to take Jadis and her people out if the opportunity arises. So, in the end, she probably chose the wrong side.

The Walking Dead has been indulging in extended episodes for most of the seventh season, and for the most part, it hasn't worked out in a way that is positive for the show. The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life, the season finale, splays out over about ninety minutes of television time, once you account for commercials. Does the show do anything with that elongated running time? Not really; as it has throughout the season, The Walking Dead uses expanded episodes merely to pad the advertising slots for sale, and not so much to advance the story.

The Walking Dead is a show that's depended a lot on its ability to cleverly execute a very specific type of arc. Rick and company face a big threat, they fall apart, and then at the end they all come back together and beat whatever big threat they've been squared off with. Not everyone lives, and new characters replace old friends, but the core of the show remains the same. Rick pulls his group together, everyone rallies, and some obstacle is overcome. Some things change, but the ultimate finish is the same.

Recently, TV Line delivered their latest spoiler chat session, and revealed new spoiler scoopage for the upcoming Castle season 8 second half, via showrunner, Alexi Hawley. These are in regards to some investigation details, involving Kate and possibly Rick as the season rolls along. They said, Rick won't be hanging out in Kate and Vikram's secret lair, and will just not be actively involved. However, that will change later on in the season. In their spoiler chat report, here's what they had to say: "You can expect… Rick not to be hanging out in Kate and Vikram’s secret lair at the vacated strip club. If you came out of The Walking Dead finale feeling at all cheated, you’re not alone. The way things ended, I was left with a similar mix of emotions as when I first watched The Killing’s Season 1 finale. There was a certain expectation the show was building toward, but what seemed inevitable now looks, in hindsight, like a ten-dollar bill attached to a string being yank away from my outstretched hand. I am, of course, referring to the war brewing between Woodbury and the prison. I never imagined, for one second, things would end in such a noncommittal way. We got our fight, but it wasn’t at all what I expected it to be. And whose fault is that? Is it The Walking Dead’s for allowing me to have those expectations, or is it mine for making any assumptions at all? In a lot of ways,...

Merle is hand-down one of the least likeable characters on The Walking Dead. “This Sorrowful Life” shows him reaching beyond his virulently racist junkie persona and discovering a sense of something bordering on compassion. Of course, that would be a lot more interesting if seeing someone undergo some small level of character development wasn't a death sentence this season.
Rick, Daryl and Hershel secretly discuss handing Michonne off to The Governor. They decide such a job will take one more man. Once Rick discovers Merle tearing apart prison mattresses hunting for heroin, he's like “I like your dedication and detail oriented nature. You're hired, sir!” Because Merle's a team player, he suggests Michonne could chew through rope so they should use wire restraints. Hey, it's not like this prison would be full of handcuffs or anything.
At least Merle still has his winning smile.

This episode's “buy one get one” special on killing characters didn't exactly leave me emotionally reeling. Still, I'd appreciate it if someone injected Prozac directly into my heart just in case. Andrea's Woodbury adventures do lag somewhat, but a good mixture of zombie slaying and tender moments makes “Killer Within” extremely watchable.
The Walking Dead proves recidivist as Rick and his voluntarily incarcerated crew return from last week's hiatus. Like many other prison shows, things open with some ass eating. No, not in the Oz sense. An unknown inmate lays a trap, stringing up a disemboweled donkey then busts a gate open. Walkers come in droves.
Luckily, the zombies wait on attacking the now not so secure facility until its newest residents finish nesting. This involves seeing shirtless Glenn.
Nice. Our jailbirds are moving cars inside and prepping for corpse disposal when their convicted neighbors come a-calling. They politely asking...

That was certainly not what I expected would happen when I tuned in for The Walking Dead this week.
Everything seemed to be going well in both the prison and Woodbury. Glenn and Maggie were getting it on like a couple of bunny rabbits, the Governor was doing his best Tiger Woods impression, Andrea was drinking the Woodbury Kool-Aid, and even Hershel was walking and talking.
It was nice for the moment to see plenty of smiles on the characters' faces.
Yet, while the Woodbury portion was more of an extension of "Walk With Me" - with the conflicting opinions of Michonne and Andrea - the prison got another unfortunate dose of blood and death.
Can the characters ever catch a break? Is anyone really safe on this show?
In a lot of ways, I'm surprised that two main characters were killed off (and I say two because I don't buy Carol's so-called death.

The annual Academy Awards ceremony wasn't Sunday's (Feb. 26) only TV event. Finally, after more than a season-and-a-half of build up, "The Walking Dead's" embattled leader Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the former partner/Bff who cuckholded him, Shane (Jon Bernthal), came to blows over Rick's wife, Lori, and Shane's continued lack of faith in Rick as a leader.
This wasn't just any knock-down, drag-out brawl. Oh no, Rick and Shane duked it out while a mini-herd of zombies came at them like a ton of bricks. Bricks that happen to be undead and hunger for human flesh.
In one of the evening's most talked about scenes, seen online first at Zap2it, Shane says, "I don't think you can do it, man, I don't think you can keep [Lori and Carl] safe." That was probably the wrong answer considering Rick's response. Watch what happens:

Two double-boots in a row and two jury members later, we've finally arrived at that point in the "Survivor" season where you can actually identify every single person playing the game by name and face… for the most part, at least. With only seven players slugging it out in the "South Pacific" while three vie for redemption, now's the perfect chance to look at all the Survivors and weigh their odds for… well, survival.
» Coach: He can say whatever he wants, but he's the top dog of the Upolu alliance. Everyone knows it, Coach included. The Dragon Slayer is playing his best game of "Survivor" yet, but he's close to the grinder now. There are no Savaii members to pick off anymore (unless you count NuCochran), and it's time to start feasting on his own young. Coach has an excellent shot at making it to the end,...

Wow! Even though the Larsen case was actually "Stonewalled" by the FBI and their terrorist investigation, this episode proved to the most compact and well-developed hour of the show. We found out a lot about characters that have remained somewhat aloof for weeks and saw some dangerous changes for others.
Linden was once again the focus of the episode and Mireille Enos has no problem holding my attention. Although she was face down on the floor of the meat locker with FBI guns at her back, Linden was still eyeing the room for clues, and she found one. She's always working through the evidence and it's still exciting to watch her analyze the situation.
You could actually see the frustration on Linden's face and watch it grow as more and more roadblocks were put in front of her. The more she was told to walk away from the investigation, the more committed she seemed.

Like Councilman Darren Richmond’s floundering political fortunes, The Killing is taking a hit in the public opinion polls (and ratings) as the AMC murder mystery struggles to find dramatic traction in the middle episodes of its rookie season. Perhaps this was inevitable; serial dramas that mount year-long campaigns of story often spin their wheels right about now. But that doesn’t make the dawdle any less disappointing. The Killing does have its unique frustrations. The show has irked many viewers by doting on the anguish of Rosie Larsen’s parents; “grief porn” is a phrase I’ve read here and there.

Hey y'all! Blame my cat for the extra couple of hours it took to get this recap up: she's old and so we let her outside in an enclosed area so she won't get run over or get beat up by other cats in the area, only now it's spring time so her boyfriend cat from the other side of the fence got frisky and jumped up and got stuck on the roof! So I had to climb around trying to get him down.
I want to take a moment to thank you for all your comments last week (and every week), they really mean a lot and it's great to see what you all think (of Canada, mostly, but also the episode hehe) - both when you agree and disagree with what I've said! ;) So thank you!

Castle spoiler alert:
On the January 11 episode of this dramedy, titled "A Rose for Everafter," Alyssa Milano doesn't merely guest star as Kyra, an ex-girlfriend of Rick Castle. She totally makes out with him!
The two run into each other on Kyra's wedding day. How do they go from that meeting to an embrace on a rooftop, as depicted in a pair of newly-released photos below? You'll need to tune in and find out!
Meanwhile, Rick won't be the only one getting some on the series.
In other Castle casting news: Scott Elrod will guest star on an upcoming episode of the show. The actor, who has appeared on CSI: Miami and Men in Trees, will portray a love interest for Beckett.
