Barbro Holmberg, the mother of Woods' wife, Elin, was admitted to the Health Central Hospital in Ocoe, Florida in the early hours of Tuesday, hospital spokesman Dan Yates has revealed.
Orange County Fire officials confirm a rescue call came in at 2.36am local time from Woods' address, reports TMZ.com.
It was previously reported that an unidentified, middle-aged blonde woman had been admitted.
Holmberg's spokesperson Eva Malmborg confirmed to NBC News her client had been treated for stomach pains but was feeling well "considering the circumstances".
She was discharged at 1pm local time and a hospital rep revealed Holmberg is now "feeling much better" and is recovering at one of her son-in-law's homes.

Los Angeles, California (X17online) - Earlier this morning it was reported that an unidentified blonde woman was rushed to the hospital from Tiger Woods' Florida mansion, and NBC News has identified her as Barbro Holmberg, Elin Nordegren's 57-year-old mother. Firefighters were called to Woods' home shortly after 2:35Am, and a middle aged blonde woman was seen being taken out on a stretcher and transported to Health Central hospital in Ocoee. A woman who appeared to be Woods' wife Elin was spotted driving a black Cadillac Escalade to the hospital and Wesh reports that she was seen leaving the hospital a short time ago. Contrary to other reports it doesn't look like Holmberg was put on life support, as hospital spokesman Dan Yates told reporters that Tiger's mother-in-law was admitted for "stomach pain and is currently undergoing evaluation."
