Part of Spain’s drive to consolidate as one of the world’s foremost big shoot locales, Shooting Locations Marketplace has confirmed dates for its second edition which will run over Oct. 20-21, taking place once again at the Feria de Valladolid, an hour’s train ride north of Madrid.
The Marketplace looks set to repeat its original format which welcomes first and foremost location scouts, as well as producers, line producers and representatives of film commissions in and outside Spain.
Revolving around one-to-one meetings, where commissions and service companies present potential shoot destinations to location managers, the Marketplace also features panels and presentations analysing industry trends as well as success stories and factors that tip the balance when picking one destination over another.
Representatives of 60 destinations are expected, including members of the Spain Film Commission, and countries such as Portugal and Norway, which will attend for the first time.

Throughout the first six episodes of Strike Back, Stonebridge (Philip Winchester), Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Col. Grant’s (Amanda Mealing) team at Section 20 took down some of the world’s deadliest terrorists. However, each victory came at a cost. In episodes 3 and 4, Britain’s mobile Tactical Operations Unit went to Cape Town, South Africa to stop an ex-ira member named Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham, Game of Thrones) who was connected to Latif (Jimi Mistry). The ruthless mercenary took Capt. Kate Marshall’s life, just before Grant too his. However, Marshall’s life wasn’t the only thing Connolly killed. By killing Kate, Connolly had inadvertently killed the happiness in Stonebridge’s life. In subsequent episodes, Stonebridge became more brash – almost seeking death. Grant may have won a temporary revenge victory, but it wasn’t going to bring back Marshall or Stonebridge’s friendly innocence. Episodes 5 and 6...

We’re nearing the conclusion of the freshman season of Strike Back on Cinemax. With Season 2 on the way, it’s time to start wondering whether or not the suspected security leak inside Section 20 will be revealed by the season finale. I’m hoping it’s not Maj. Oliver Sinclair (Rhashan Stone). He showed off his worth in the Tahir (Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje) mission so I would hate to find out that he was working for the other side. However, he’s been questioning Scott’s judgment a little too much of late, often bringing up criticism to Col. Eleanor Grant’s (Amanda Mealing). You have to wonder if he’s not trying to set the team up for failure. Grant’s (Amanda Mealing) vendetta with Latif (Jimi Mistry) seems genuine. Also, she’s got a pass after she took out Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham) in episode 4. So, if there is a leak,...

Cinemax's new show "Strike Back" is really one of the most explosive shows on television--really. In true HBO/Cinemax fashion, it's the perfect blend of blood, violence, sex and gritty humor.
In case you haven't been following all of the action, here's a short recap of the premise.
The series follows Section 20, an elite military black ops unit within the British government that focuses on high-risk, top-priority targets--including an international group of terrorists.
When one of their own is captured and held hostage by the terrorist group, the Section 20 enlists the help of Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), a charismatic former Delta Force operative who is familiar with the terrorists. However, his cocky style is often at odds with the more formal team, especially the by-the-book Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester). Team leader Col. Eleanor Grant (Amanda Mealing) is a smart, tough military leader who is skilled with a gun and...

The South Africa mission concludes in Strike Back episode 4. The third episode ended with Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) tied up with a bomb strapped to him by ex-ira member Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham, Game of Thrones). If you’re a fan of action movies, you will definitely want to tune into this episode. The series really takes off thanks to several adrenaline infused scenes and a lot of drama. This is my favorite episode to date, but I’ll keep my words spoiler free so you can enjoy it for yourself and find out why. Here’s a clip from episode 4 showing Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) chasing down Connolly. You won’t get this kind of action in Burn Notice so tune in. We’ve also got several great stills with the cast from episode 4. Click on the thumbnails below to check them out. Strike Back Episode 4 premieres Friday night at 10Pm Et/Pt on Cinemax.

Don't take anything for granted, warns David Chute, as you wait an extra week for the resolution of the latest Strike Back cliffhanger. No new episode tonight of TV's new best action series. Instead, Cinemax is running a mini-marathon of the first three episodes of Strike Back, beginning at 10 p.m. Those already watching will have to continue gnawing their fingernails until Friday, September 9. Only then will they find out if Damien Scott has been blown to bits by the bomb strapped to his chest in a barn somewhere in South Africa by ex-ira-turned-freelance terrorist Daniel Connolly. No spoilers here--but I do want to suggest that the down to earth approach of this show is such that anything is possible. No predictions, just an ...

A new episode of Cinemax's Strike Back will be airing tonight. In tonight's episode Section 20 will head to Cape Town, South Africa when they learn that some of Latif's known associates are in the area. They're successful in capturing and interrogating one of Latif's accomplices who tells them about an armored car company that was attacked and robbed. It's suspicious, however, that no money was actually stolen in the robbery.
Col. Grant realizes that one of the attackers of the armored car is actually a former Ira member turned mercenary named Daniel Connolly. After digging further into the company, they deduce that the real target of the robbery might be a defense contractor, so they warn the contractor's CEO, Kenneth Bratton, that the robbery may not have been random. Unfortunately, Bratton doesn't reveal an important piece of information: he's already being blackmailed by Connolly.
Scott and Stonebridge decide to go after Connolly's new hacker.

It’s official. Cinemax’s new original series Strike Back is a hit. After last week’s revelation about Latif, Damien (Sullivan Stapleton, Animal Kingdom) has joined Section 20 alongside Stonebridge (Philip Winchester, Camelot). Now, the team is heading to Cape Town, South Africa to hunt down new connections to Latif’s organization. This week, we’ll be introduced to a new criminal villain played by Liam Cunningham (Games of Thrones, Clash of the Titans 2010). Cunningham plays Daniel Connolly, an ex-ira member who ruthlessly kicks up the adrenaline on the series. If you liked last week’s episode then you will definitely enjoy this next story that takes place in Africa. Once again, production shot this episode on location, giving it the cinematic quality we love. In the clip above, Section 20 questions a suspect, while Kate and Michael argue about how they apprehended the suspect. Plus this week we get to see more of Col.
