- Arthur Kleiner was born on March 20, 1903 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was a composer and writer, known for A Million and One Nights of Film (1965), Hollywood's Musical Moods (1972) and In the Street (2013). He died on March 31, 1980 in Hopkins, Minnesota, USA.
- Music Director of the Department of Film at the Museum of Modern Art from 1939 until his retirement and move to Minnesota in 1967. While at the Museum, he also composed, arranged and played piano accompaniments for silent films shown at the Museum Theater.
