Frank Contreras(II)
- Writer
Frank Contreras is a Guatemalan-American writer who likes to tell character-driven stories full of comedy and heart. He enjoys pulling from experiences growing up as a first-generationer with immigrant parents in northern Virginia.
He got his start writing on Monsters At Work, a Disney+ animated television series based on Pixar's Monsters, Inc franchise. He has also worked in television development at major studios, written live-action freelance scripts, and script doctored a sci-fi feature.
Frank graduated with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he focused on writing, directing, and avoiding the L-train. He was recognized as an Up-and-Coming Latino Filmmaker by the American Latino Media Arts Awards in 2018.
When not writing, Frank is a full-time dog dad, plays disc golf and tennis, designs clothes, and watches way too much hockey. He also recently became certified to provide behavioral care to children with autism, just for fun.
