Philip Sadler(II)
- Actor
Philip Sadler is an American performing artist who centered the early part of his career as a modern dancer in California and on the East Coast, most notably in Gloria Newman Dance Theatre for the Olympic Arts festival and as an intern/scholarship student at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Philip studied ballet and modern dance in New York but could not ignore the siren call of working in Hollywood, eventually landing in Los Angeles where he embarked on a long and varied career in the entertainment industry.
Philip quickly earned a SAG card, trained in improvisation at The Groundlings and studied directing with Film Industry Workshop at CBS Radford. As the digital age transformed the entertainment industry Philip was able to continually leverage a Theatre Arts degree in Dance across multiple lines of the entertainment business: administration, post production, production accounting, digital animation, information technology and telecommunications. Over the course of 25 years at Hearst and Sony Pictures Entertainment companies, Philip provided services and support for hundreds of productions, and project management expertise in Los Angeles and local language production offices throughout the world.
Since returning to acting after a brief three decade hiatus, Philip has studied voice and acting with Terry Berland, Sue Hamilton and Actors Studio in OC, co-starred on television and has acted in supporting and lead roles in several short films and commercials.
Philip is noted for his calm and steady presence, he began a practice of yoga over 35 years ago at the encouragement of modern dance pioneer, Barton Mumaw. In his spare time, Philip is a certified Yoga teacher since 2007, and an avid travel adventurer. When he's not trekking across England or backpacking in the High Sierras, you can find him on the mat, breathing deeply enjoying the moment.
