Listen carefully. You need to get as many stacks of dollar bills as possible, and you need to book a trip to Las Vegas for next March because Hot Damn Magic Mike Is Coming To Sin City! In his first ever Facebook Live video, Channing Tatum revealed the exciting news that his big screen stripper franchise Magic Mike is going to give fans what they've always wanted—the experience live and in 3D. Tatum announced that the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will become the permanent home of Mike Lane, America's favorite handyman-turned-stripper, with Magic Mike Live, a complete re-imagination of the male strip show based on the actor's hit movies. But no, we won't be seeing Channing shirtless and...

★★★☆☆ Perhaps the most tantalising cinematic fare on offer in recent memory, Magic Mike Xxl (2015) hit cinemas like a well-oiled, lust-filled missile. Voraciously gobbled up by keen viewers, this sequel is decidedly a step up from the first installment. Free from the sombre Soderbergh lens, director Gregory Jacobs and writer Reid Carolin give us the more free-spirited, good-natured and still charming as all hell Kings of Tampa, with Mike Lane (Channing Tatum) at the helm. It's frothy, camp and pitched perfectly.

Amour Fou (Jessica Hausner)
An ecstatically original work of film-history-philosophy with a digital-cinema palette of acutely crafted compositions. Amour Fou seamlessly blends together the paintings of Vermeer, the acting of Bresson, and the psychological undercurrents of a Dostoevsky novel. It is an intensely thrilling and often slyly comic work that manages to combine a passionately dispassionate love story of the highest order with a larger socio-historical examination of a new era of freedom, and the tragedy beset by...

Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead (Douglas Tirola)
While the last few decades or so of National Lampoon’s output has been less than stellar, their influence through their humor magazine and films such as the original Vacation and Animal House can still be felt today. For those curious about the formation of the group and their rise to ubiquitous status, a new documentary looks to provide the behind-the-scenes story.

Channing Tatum returns to headline Magic Mike Xxl. It's better than you think...
The gradual reveal of Channing Tatum as a box office magnet and sorely underestimated movie star was staggered over the first half of 2012. The Vow and 21 Jump Street were both hits that showed off opposite sides of his range, but his two collaborations with Steven Soderbergh set him on his current path.
Long renowned as an actor's director, Soderbergh cast Tatum in a minor role in Haywire, which is how he came to be attached to Magic Mike, a semi-biographical project based on the actor's experiences as a stripper in Tampa, Florida. The latter was a sleeper hit that assured Tatum's status as an A-lister, but a sequel hardly felt inevitable.
However, in the same week as Terminator Genisys has shown just how low the bar is for sequels, Magic Mike Xxl turns out to be good...

Channing Tatum is America's sweetheart. All he does is win, win, win. Even when you think he has taken on a dud or a sequel that couldn't possibly live up to the original, he and the films in which he performs have a way of shocking you with excitement. This is true, as well, of Magic Mike Xxl, a sequel to Tatum's coming out party to Hollywood stardom and a film that, biggest shock of them all, surpasses its predecessor. Smarter, sexier, and cooler, Magic Mike Xxl is an invigorating piece of entertainment, a solid dramedy about friends and coworkers – even if those coworkers are fellow, male strippers – and a relevant and honest look at the current state of the sexes. Most important of all, it's a better film than the first one. The opening moments may disappoint Magic Mike Xxl's key demographic. Mike Lane (Tatum) has moved on...

The first Magic Mike was billed as an over-the-top stripper comedy, but underneath those gold lamé thongs it turned out to be something far more surprising: a sober examination of the American dream. We watched Mike Lane try to pull himself up by the bootstraps, only to find himself judged, used, discarded, and creatively constrained. The sequel Magic Mike […]

In "celebration" of the impending cinematic return of Channing Tatum.s "Magic" Mike Lane in Magic Mike Xxl, which will see him end his apparent hiatus from sartorially-absent onstage seduction, a new video has launched online revisiting the not-so-great elements of the 2012-released original (which brandished enough washboard abs to run a chain of laundromats, and enough gyrations to power a new green energy movement). Watch the clip below and see it sliced, diced and skewered for its egregious infractions! While some might argue that Magic Mike, in its broader presentation, is nothing more than a blatantly commercialized attempt to corral a typically more particular moviegoing demographic of women to the box-office, this video from CinemaSins. well, pretty much highlights that argument with several poignant examples. While director Steven Soderbergh has been known to cobble together some of the most entertainingly gritty action/dramas in last few decades, we are...

The boys are back!
Channing Tatum is back on set for the sequel, Magic Mike Xxl, and you guessed it, he's looking good!
On Sept. 29, the 34-year-old was spotted on the first day of filming the sequel about a male stripper in Savannah, Georgia.
Watch: Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill Play 'What’s My Stripper Name?'
In the pics, he's helping carry some furniture on set, and his muscles are in full display.

On his shirt, it says Mike Lane Custom Designs in Tampa, Florida, so this may just mean his character started the furniture company of his own that he only dreamed of in the first film.

. Steven Soderbergh’s film Magic Mike, about sensitive beefcake dancer Mike Lane and based on the real-life exploits of former male-revue-fleshpot-turned-actor Channing Tatum, became a sensation in 2012. The film grossed $167 million worldwide and launched its lead into stardom. Since then, the stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold story has been bandied about with regards to a sequel and a Broadway musical. Collider brings word that part two of Tatum’s tale (he’s been writing the script this go-round) is moving forward and will possibly head before the cameras later this year. During press rounds for Sabotage, star Joe Manganiello (who played stud Big Dick Richie in the first film) gave up the goods: “Yeah, it’s gonna happen this fall. I think...

Remember when Mike Lang came to Cannes with Rob Lowe to tout Miramax Films’ aspirations to freshen and expand the film library with new projects culled from the script arsenal they bought along with 700 titles in the $663 million Disney deal? The company, run by former Disney exec Richard Nanula for Colony Capital principal Tom Barrack, has lately been as quiet as you’d expect a library management company to be, especially since Lang got his walking papers (except for its unsuccessful run at Lionsgate). They’ve just announced two executive promotions, which was useful for me because I’d completely forgotten the company existed. Here’s the announcement: Santa Monica, CA – January 8, 2013 – Miramax, the independent studio with a renowned library of critically acclaimed films, today announced that Joe Patrick has been named executive vice president, Worldwide Television, and Beth Minehart has been named executive vice president, Global Digital, reporting to Miramax interim CEO Steve Schoch.

In early 2011, The Weinstein Company announced that they were moving forward with a “found footage” Amityville movie. However, a new release date has been set, suggesting that TWC is still looking to move ahead with the project.
The new release date for the movie is January 1st, 2014, but that’s all that has been confirmed at this point.
