A gripping plot, superb acting, thought-out dialog, an amazing ability to hold the audience's attention, sex, violence, and struggle for power – Game of Thrones was famous for all of this, but was it the first of its kind?
Perhaps in every genre there is the series that was unfairly closed at the most interesting moment. For fans of science fiction, Firefly became such a wound in the heart, and for fans of historical dramas, there is Rome, the return of which most connoisseurs of the genre dream of.
As it happens, Rome has only two seasons. But even that is enough to appreciate it.
Rome Was Game of Thrones’ Predecessor
Even before Game of Thrones, HBO and the BBC tried the "sex, blood and political intrigue" formula with Rome, which was released in 2005. And the historical period was more appropriate than ever: the Roman Empire just after the Gallic War...

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: #DIY def. The Creed Brothers The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite dominating during their time in Nxt, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have never had a match at WrestleMania, and this seemingly spurned them to leave it all on the line. Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

“Sic semper tyrannis!” With these words John Wilkes Booth fled Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. after shooting Abraham Lincoln in the head with a 44 caliber derringer on April 14, 1865, altering the course of history and prompting a 12-day manhunt that ended when Sgt. Boston Corbett shot Booth in a Virginia farmhouse (he died hours later). The assassination and the pursuit are now the subjects of Manhunt, a brisk new limited series on Apple TV+.

Ever since the Creed Brothers came from Nxt last year to WWE Raw, they’ve put the tag team division on notice. The explosive duo Julius and Brutus Creed made an impressive transition from collegiate amateur wrestling. Over the last few years, the former members of Diamond Mine dominated Nxt division, winning the tag team titles, the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and being named “Tag Team of the Year” through the brand’s year-end awards. It was no surprise when they got the call up to Monday nights along with their equally impressive partner Ivy Nile. Together they’ve taken on new challenges and already found themselves in high-profile championship matches. We caught up with emerging talents Julius and Brutus as they opened up about adjusting to life as a traveling WWE superstar. Julius Creed WWE What have the last few months been like? Julius Creed: Hectic.

Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown welcomed a new member of the family, but he turned to Discovery Channel fans for a name. After he shared a photo and invited the participation of his followers, he got plenty of suggestions. Possibly, he might need to think hard because some of them seem very good.
Abp Noah Brown Shares Photos Of His Family Members
Alaskan Bush People fans know that Rhain and her husband raise Eli, 5, and his younger brother, Adam. However, their family also includes non-human kids like Triss the six-year-old ferret. Actually, Triss is so cute that many Discovery Channel fans would love to spend time with him. Now, it looks like Triss will have a friend.

Noah Brown inherited a love for animals from his dad, Billy. On the show, if he’s not being the family technician, he’s been seen working with the horses.

Alan Ritchson is a force of nature in Prime Video's "Reacher," where he delivers a compelling, book-accurate performance of the titular drifter with a penchant for solving crimes. Ritchson balances Reacher's brute strength with the perfect amount of vulnerability, painting him as a man fiercely dedicated to the cause, willing to evolve as a person when the situation demands so. While Reacher is perhaps one of his best roles so far, Ritchson's career is marked with performances that need to be highlighted, given how often they tend to be overlooked.
Before Ritchson started playing buff dudes who could beat up anyone in the room, he embodied a diverse range of characters on both the big and small screens. Ritchson started his career with a recurring guest role in the DC Comics series "Smallville," where he played Arthur Curry/Aquaman — a role he reprised when he voiced the character in the animated film,...

Match #1: Dom Mysterio def. Ricochet The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Thanks to a major distraction from Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Jd McDonagh on the apron, Nxt North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio picked up the quick pin on Ricochet with a handful of tights.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: The Creed Brothers def. The Alpha Academy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After answering The Alpha Academy’s open challenge earlier in the day, The Creed Brother overcame The Alpha Academy in their Raw debut. Shortly after Ivy Nile took out Junior Alpha Academy member Akira Tozawa at ringside, Julius Creed defied logic by lifting Otis on his shoulder and setting up Brutus to...

Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Wes Lee The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Mad Dragon is one step closer to realizing his dream as Nxt Champion as he defeated Wes Lee to become the No. 1 Contender to face Carmelo Hayes at Nxt No Mercy. The two competitors left it all in the ring as they exchanged their signature offense like chops, splashes, and even a suplex from Ilja Dragunov to Lee on the announce table. In the end, Dragunov came away the victor after vicious shots from both Superstars, punching his ticket to Nxt No Mercy for a date with Nxt Champion Carmelo Hayes for the Nxt Title.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey & Damon Kemp def. Josh Briggs,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly, on a show that has gone viral from a Baron Corbin(!) promo this week! Let’s get straight into it and see what went down…
Match #1: Blair Davenport def. Roxanne Perez The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The reign of terror from Blair Davenport will continue as she defeated former Nxt Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez convincingly. The tenacity and ferociousness of Davenport were evident as the British Superstar tossed Perez around the ring, but Perez did manage to counter a superplex into a crossbody. Perez continued to fight back, but her attempt to take out Davenport on the outside backfired as she was sent face-first into the steel ring steps. That spelled the beginning of the end as moments later Davenport was able to hit Perez with a pair of crushing knee strikes that ended the match.

“Big Mouth” has been renewed by Netflix for an eighth and final season, giving it the most installments in Netflix history outside of kids and family programming.
Season 7 of the adult animated series arrives in 2023, and the newly greenlit eighth season will arrive in 2024.
“If you would have told adolescent Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that middle school would take 8 years to finish,” said series star and executive producer Nick Kroll. “They would have been like ‘yeah, that sounds about right. This seems like it will never end.’”

This post contains spoilers for the series finale of "Star Trek: Picard."
Throughout the final season of "Star Trek: Picard," Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is a man of surprisingly few words. Sure, the beloved retired captain chimes in with theories during the show's many exposition-heavy scenes, and has a few heart-to-hearts with his son Jack (Ed Speleers) and old pal Riker (Jonathan Frakes), but he's decidedly light on leaderly monologues. Picard is even fairly reticent when he's saying what may be one final goodbye to his crewmates, simply saying, "It means so much to me --" to Riker before parting ways.
I'll admit that moment in the finale had me yelling at the screen, hoping Picard would get the chance to say something, anything, that felt like a signature "Star Trek" sign-off before bowing out. I should've known the show was saving the best for last, and by best, I...

Gallus boys remained on top after a chaotic and enthralling Triple Threat Match for the Nxt Tag Team Championships. Before the match even began, all three teams engaged in a frenetic brawl with multiple officials being needed to break up the action. All three teams gave it their all with Julius Creed showcasing his incredible offense, but in the waning moments, his loyalty is what cost his team. Brutus Creed hit the top rope looking to hit his signature Brutus Ball, but he kicked Jagger Reid off of the apron who inadvertently clipped Ivy Nile, knocking her down. Brutus hit his move,...
