Jan Korte
1983 to 1987 elementary school in Georgsmarienhütte, 1987 to 1989 orientation school, 1997 Abitur. 1997 to 1998 civilian service at the Diakonie Hospital. Studied political science, sociology and history at the University of Hanover until summer 1999.

Student representative work, in the mid-1990s on the executive committee of Bündnis90/Die Grünen in Georgsmarienhütte, joined the PDS at the end of 1999, from 2004 to the end of 2005 chairman of the PDS district association in Hanover and since November 2004 member of the party executive committee of the Linkspartei.PDS. 1996 to 1999 Chairman of the council faction of Bündnis90/Die Grünen in the council of the city of Georgsmarienhütte.
