1987 to 1988 studied economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration; 1988 to 1995 studied philosophy at the University of Vienna, master's degree; 1996 to 1999 cultural editor of the Neue Südtiroler Tageszeitung in Bolzano; 1999 to 2003 doctoral studies at the HfG Karlsruhe and research assistant there since 2003; 2009 doctorate.

Since April 2013 member of the AfD; since then member of the Baden-Württemberg state executive committee; since January 2020 deputy chairman.
