Taking a page out of the Vanderpump Rules producer handbook, cameras on The Valley began rolling again after Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright shared publicly that the married couple was taking time apart.
Production had wrapped on the Vpr spinoff series last year, but The Hollywood Reporter reported that the cameras fired back up to capture the fallout when, in late February, Cartwright announced on her and Taylor’s podcast that the parents to 2-year-old son Cruz were separating after four years of marriage.
“Yes, marriages in general are really hard, and I’ve had a particularly rough year in mine this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said, reading from a prepared statement. “I won’t get into too many details right now, because...

How do you follow Scandoval? That was the question facing Bravo and the Vanderpump Rules producers when they convened to discuss season 11.
“Before we started the season, we had a meeting at NBCU,” executive producer and showrunner Alex Baskin tells The Hollywood Reporter of Bravo parent company NBCUniversal, “and we were like, ‘Ok, we’ve gotten a lot of attention, there’s been a lot of adulation, and guess what? We have to do it again.’
“So we stayed really focused, but it was hard. If I can say, it was the hardest season that we have had to make, because we had challenges all over the place. We had extra attention and scrutiny, we had a cast that was still picking up the pieces. And so we really had to work as hard as we’ve ever had to work for what, I think, is a great season and...

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix has been making the press rounds since the highly anticipated finale of the Bravo reality series aired on Wednesday. The recently concluded 10th season had wrapped filming in September when Madix found out about a scandalous affair between longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval and close friend Raquel Leviss, both of whom appear on the series with Madix, which has since been dubbed Scandoval. In order to capture the drama, Bravo fired up the cameras again in March to capture the fallout, with the results playing out during the finale.
“It is my real life and it’s something that happened so unexpectedly,” Madix said during one of her post-finale appearances, on The View, of sharing everything publicly. “Certainly watching the episode last night, it really brings you back to that anger, that gut feeling, that anxiety that I felt in those first moments.”

The most chaotic season of reality TV is over; now, it's time to pick up the pieces.
Wednesday's finale of Vanderpump Rules was filled with all the drama we expected after Ariana Madix discovered her boyfriend of nine years, Tom Sandoval, had been sleeping with one of her best friends.
In a New York Times profile timed to the bombshell-ridden conclusion, Madix reflected on her relationship imploding in front of the cameras.
The reality TV star admitted she feels that the public was so engrossed in the drama surrounding Scandoval because she was in the relationship for so long.
She believes that fans saw her and Sandoval as "end game," which means people thought they would be together for a long time.
"I also think the people involved were so duplicitous and deceitful," she said of Sandoval, Leviss and very likely, Tom Schwarz."
"[Mr. Sandoval] was also someone who was constantly preaching...
