María Soler studied the Degree in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Granada and she began her professional career in the advertising and digital marketing company CMA Comunicación, combining this work with the production of short films and the collaboration and coordination of events and festivals.
In 2017 she studied a Master's Degree in Cinema and Television at the Carlos III University in Madrid and she complemented her studies with an internship at Morena Films, where she collaborated in the production coordination of the film YULI, directed by Iciar Bollain.
In May 2018, she joined Morena Films as production assistant, where she has worked on features films such as EVERYBODY KNOWS (Asghar Farhadi), CHAMPIONS (Javier Fesser), OUT IN THE OPEN (Benito Zambrano) and ADVANTAGES OF TRAVELLING BY TRAIN (Aritz Moreno).
At the same time, she is a producer in the company Myopia Films. Some of her projects are ENLATADOS (2015), winner of the Suroscopia Award for best fiction short film; DENTRO DE MÍ (2016), winner of the Award for est short film at the Cinejoven Festival in Almería; ÁNIMO TONTÓN (2016), winner of the Awards for best script, best photography and audience award at the 48enCorto Festival;and BLABLATIME (2017) or MOCK MOCK (2018), both winners of the Awards for best short film and best script at the Cinejoven Festival in Almería.
On the other hand, she has been a jury member at the Fancine Festival in Málaga (Méliès de Plata Award for Best Short Film) and at the Cines del Sur Festival in Granada (Alhambra de Plata Award).
