Comcast Corp. has signed new carriage deals with Hallmark Channel and Si TV. The agreement with Hallmark formalizes its ties with Comcast, which assumed the cable channel's existing deal with AT&T Broadband, the operator Comcast acquired last year. "In effect, it's a new agreement with a new entity," said Paul Fitzpatrick, Hallmark executive vp and chief operating officer. "It provides us the opportunity for securing additional launches." Hallmark, which is available in more than 55 million homes, is expected to announce carriage on additional systems in the coming months. Si TV, a new English-language, Latino-themed channel, will be added to Comcast systems in February. The network has already signed deals with EchoStar, Cox and Time Warner. Financial terms of both deals were not disclosed.
