Just over 12 hours after winning big in the GOP Michigan primary, Donald Trump lost big today in his desire to hit pause on the $464 million judgment he owes out of a New York fraud trial.
In his second swing at getting the big bucks judgment and $112,000 per day in interest personally halted the self-declared billionaire former president and de facto Republican nominee had already been forced to eat crow earlier. Pulling a typical Trump move, the ex-Celebrity Apprentice host loudly plead relatively poverty and quietly admitted that he would be forced to sell some of his real estate properties if the court declined his stay request.
Waiting to file an appeal on the fraud trial Trump and his lawyers had tried to get the court to accept a bond of a much lower $100 million for the court freezing the process.
Associate Justice Anil C. Singh declined.

Lucknow, June 22 (Ians) The probe panel that investigated alleged heatstroke deaths in Ballia has found glaring lapses in patient management.
The team sent by the Uttar Pradesh government to Ballia has concluded that ‘heatstroke’ was not the direct cause of any death.
However, the team did find glaring lapses in the ‘micro-level’ management of patients. The development comes after 68 people reportedly died due to heat-aggravated pre-existing diseases.
During its visit to the hospital, the probe team found that the ‘queue system’ was being followed in the Emergency ward as opposed to the mandated ‘Triage’ protocol.
“The ‘Triage’ protocol demands that the most serious be given maximum and first attention. It appears this assessment of most serious patients was poorly done at the hospital,” said senior health officials.
Given the ‘poor management’, the members of the team got the Triage system implemented in the hospital. They also ensured other arrangements such as coolers,...

Lucknow, June 20 (Ians) With 14 more patients succumbing to heat-related ailments in the last 24 hours, fatalities due to heatwave in Uttar Pardesh’s Ballia district has mounted to 68 since June 15.
A committee appointed by the state government visited villages in Bansdih and Garwar development blocks which reported maximum casualties.
Led by Dr K. N. Tiwari (Director Medical Care) and Dr A.K. Singh (Director Infectious Diseases), the team met the family members of some of the deceased to study if a specific pattern may be spotted and claimed that they did not come across any sign of panic.

Patna, March 31 (Ians) Jdu Mla from Valmiki Nagar of Bihar’s Pashchim Champaran district, Dhirendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh, exposed the “mismanagement” at a Community Health Centre (Chc) in his constituency.
The Mla went to the Chc in Thakahara village on a surprise inspection and found that wheat is being dried on hospital bed. Further, the legislator found that the operation theatre at the Chc is being used as store room and the medicines were thrown in dustbins.
“It was absolutely shocking that hospital employees were using beds to dry wheat. Dirt and dust are piled up in the male and female wards. The medicines are thrown in the dustbins and an operation theatre is being used as a store room,” Singh said.
“When we checked the roster of the hospital, several doctors and nurses were found absent… There was a complete mismanagement in the Chc, which is not tolerable.

Windhoek (Namibia), March 30 (Ians) United Arab Emirates (UAE) were stunned by a determined United States of America (USA) side while Namibia were too good for Jersey on the fourth day of the Icc Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, here on Thursday.
The UAE innings was rattled early after skipper Muhammad Waseem fell to Saurabh Netravalkar in the very first over. Not unlike the Namibian approach on Wednesday, Vriitya Aravind (57) and Aryan Lakra (26) looked to keep their foot on the pedal. While their strategy worked perfectly on Ali Khan, the more disciplined Netravalkar kept the scoring rate in check from his end.
The middle overs saw USA bowlers fight back through Nisarg Patel. This included a phase of play where UAE lost two batters, including Aravind, in a space of 10 balls. Former skipper Rohan Mustafa and the dangerous Asif Khan then forged an important stand to uplift the Asian team.
