Richard Holliday knows firsthand how life can change in an instant. The 31-year-old, real name Joe Zimbardi, saw his pro wrestling career reach new heights in 2022. That is until a cancer diagnosis stopped him in his tracks. When the emerging talent went public with his stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma battle public, he made it known this was not the end and a match he would win. Holliday’s fighting spirit carried him through grueling chemotherapy treatments and some dark days. The dedication paid off as he announced his cancer was in remission in May. Since then the “Most Marketable” has made a remarkable comeback, capped off by a surprise return to Major League Wrestling at One Shot in December. The former member of The Dynasty was welcomed back to the promotion by Mister Saint Laurent as a member of his (World Titan Federation) Wtf stable. He is now set to...

Match #1: Zenshi vs. Calvin Tankman The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The Chilean high-flier enters the ring and looks ever-ready, but he’s likely have his biggest challenge ahead of him (both in the figurative and literal sense) in league newcomer, Calvin Tankman. Zenshi is soon to go for the legs of Tankman,...

Welcome to this return of Major League Wrestling: Fusion, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel Mlw is back, baby! Boom! We’re jumping right in to the Opera Cup, which is not about singing, So Shut The F— Up! Amigo, let’s get to it.
Match #1: Richard Holliday vs. Tjp (w/ Bu Ku Dao) – Opera Cup Tournament Match (Opening Round) The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
“The Carribean Champion” hands his title over to the offcial whom he prompts to hoist it up in a moment of glamour (this is a total non-title match for those keeping track). Holliday holds court further by making an event of him holstering his Air Pods. The bell rings and we’re underway. The two men circle one another before a very brief lock-up and a reset. The second lock-up has Tjp getting sent to the canvas due to the strength of Holliday.

Major League Wrestling has today announced it has re-signed founding member of the Dynasty and Caribbean Champion Richard Holliday to a new multi-year deal.
Holliday first joined Mlw in 2018 and quickly emerged as a premier competitor, winning the World Tag Team Championship and most recently claiming the Caribbean Heavyweight title in January of this year. Says Mlw CEO Court Bauer:
Richard has become a staple of Mlw and its telecasts, helping to lead the charge in representing the league as a world class homegrown athlete. He is a dynastic competitor with qualities you seldom find. Mlw is ecstatic to continue to feature Richard Holliday for years to come.
Adds Holliday:
Anytime you’re making a decision for your future, all aspects in regards to it must be considered. Mlw checked all of the boxes in terms of opportunity, presentation, creative process, and upwards mobility. Other offers were presented, and of course taken into consideration,...

Match #1: Gino Medina defeated Septimo Dragon The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
It doesn’t take long for the action to go to the outside as “the man dressed as a dragon” shows his skill with an outside attack. The two have a chess match of athleticism as one another outwit each other with quickness. Medina feigns a handshake, but Septimo doesn’t bite. He gives Medina one stunning headscissors before kipping up. Septimo goes for another one but this time Medina tosses him off into the ropes and takes control.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have The Opera Cup, which is a famous wrestling prize of yesteryear that has made its return in Mlw.
Match #1: King Mo & Ach def. Injustice (Kotto Brazil & Jordan Oliver w/ Myron Reed) The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Ach shows his pure athleticism as he starts off the match with a flurry of offense. He and Mo do a double team hip-toss on Brazil. Mo kicks the legs of Kotto and tags back in Ach. Guest on commentary Dan Lambert says Mo wants checks and he wants gold in Mlw and that’s evident in this match. Kotto Brazil shows his athleticism against Ach, but also shows his underhandedness as he allows his Injustice members to seize attack on Ach behind his back. Lambert makes it clear that...

Match #1: Jordan Oliver defeated Zenshi The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Zenshi took down Oliver quickly but the two both go for quick takedowns but one another kept meeting each other in high-flying stalemates before Zenshi successfully landed a running shooting star press. Oliver tried to come off the top rope with a head-scissor takedown but the amazing body control of Zenshi allowed the Chilean combatant to land on his feet. Kotto Brazil took the moment to trip him up so Oliver got an opportunity to strike.
