Produced by Beyond Entertainment and Eq Media Group in association with Jane’s production company Renegade Entertainment, the Fnq-set series is created by Yolanda Ramke and based on the novel Crimson Lake by Candice Fox.
Chamoun, best known for her roles in On The Ropes, The Gloaming, Safe Harbour and Romper Stomper, plays Amanda Pharrell, an eccentric Pi with a disturbing criminal past. She begrudgingly recruits disgraced ex-cop Ted Conkaffey (Jane) to investigate the murder of a brilliant research scientist.
As they battle to uncover the truth, and the tightly held secrets of Crimson Lake, their own traumatic pasts are dragged painfully into the present – tearing them apart, as each of them faces their own fight for sanity and survival.

Mumbrella’s sister title Encore has today launched as a weekly, tablet-only edition.
The title is already live in Apple’s App store, with the Google Android edition available tomorrow.
The move to weekly publication coincides with a widening of Encore’s content to cover the same media and marketing landscape as Mumbrella.
Encore will be Mumbrella’s video-rich, analytical sister.
It will also break a number of exclusive news stories in each edition. This week, the news stories include details of News Limited’s plans for a major development in Parramatta, what ABC MD Mark Scott has to say about the future of his old employer Fairfax Media, and McCann’s new national creative structure.
Meanwhile, Mumbrella’s Robin Hicks explores the reasons for the decline of the Melbourne market compared to Sydney, while editor Tim Burrowes argues that media agency staff are nicer people than their creative counterparts.

In this guest post, Ed Commander warns that consumers are using their smartphones to beat the retailers, but mobiles still offer new opportunities.
Two weeks ago I had, yet another, miserable, frustration-filled shopping experience in Sydney. I won’t go into it, but it was the usual (service, selection, value, environment).
While the rumours of retail demise are greatly exaggerated, I find myself acknowledging that it’s fully sick. And not in the good sense.
Yes – the strong Aussie dollar is driving people to purchase online. The danger to physical retailers is that those who never used to shop online, are getting used to it.
They’re (maybe) discovering that the choice, value and convenience suits them and it’s possible that they’ll stick with it long after our dollar returns to historical norms, because online shopping will still have both more selection and more convenience.
Particularly with mobile.

Matthew Weiner and his team get so many kudos for the authenticity of depicting the ad agency business of the 1960s, and much of it is merited, but the new season adds to many of the inaccurate portrayals of Mad Men's earlier seasons.

Many entrepreneurs and leaders come and go without passing on what made them great. But there have been others who decided to pick up a pen, sit at a typewriter, or dictate into a recorder. While we have featured many business books this year in our Leadership Hall Of Fame, we have avoided biographies. Raise your hand if you are promiscuous. Come on, don't be shy ... you're in the company of friends here. Having a hunger for casual sexual relationships is nothing to be ashamed of. That is of course assuming that it's consensual, you're not in a committed relationship and you're taking the proper safety measures. And, by proper safety measures, I'm talking specifically about prophylactics.
So why in the world am I writing about casual sex and condoms? Simple. As a father of three Idea Heroes in the making, it's troublesome to me that there is a lack of marketing around the topic of safe sex. I mean, sexual innuendos are presented to children through media on a continual basis. I believe, as many others do, that it's the parents job to educate their children on this subject, however, it doesn't hurt if they are prompted to ask some questions. Right?

My holiday gift for all of you is a Christmas tune that I recorded a few years ago with a little help from my friends Dan Levine (They Might Be Giants) on bass, David Ogilvy on acoustic guitar, Larua Fay Lewis on vocals, and Kenny Margolis (Cracker) on accordion and keyboards. Holiday songs are never easy to write and this one was certainly borderline bleak. Thankfully Kenny's uplifting accordion and keyboard lines rescued it from utter downer mode. Please share "Christmas (Is Coming Down)" with your family and friends and have a Happy and Healthy Holiday! peace, Dusty

Coming on the heels of winning its second straight Emmy for best drama series, Mad Men attempts to prove that it got the victory it deserves with tonight's "Seven Twenty Three" episode. Is it a significant date? An important event in history? A room number? Or a new address?
We find out that the title of the seventh episode of the third season is a reference to David Ogilvy, the real "Father of Advertising" and his 1963 book "Confessions of an Advertising Man," a manual in which Ogilvy explains how useless it is to be creative unless you can also sell what you create.

A new book upholds—and subverts—51 common catchphrases for design.
We like to think design is a field of unfettered creativity—an industry that abhors the proverbial box. In actuality it sags under an abundance of rules: Less is more. God is in the details. A good copy is better than a bad original. When in doubt, leave it out. Good design is when it's finished…and so on.
A new book entitled Never Use White Type on a Black Background: And 50 Other Ridiculous Design Rules by Anneloes van Gaalen makes design platitudes up into full-spread graphics accompanied by a series of quotes that show how the saying was revised, rethought and, in some cases, rejected over time. The result is a small-scale oral history of each rule.
