A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jeremy is a
writer/director/producer. Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Jeremy began his career in the arts at the Wilmington Drama League. At 16, he had his first internship on Broadway shadowing director Mike Ockrent on "A Christmas Carol" at Madison Square Garden.
Attended Cab Calloway School of the Arts for 7th and 8th grade.
His older brothers are Matt O'Keefe and Nate O'Keefe of the North
Carolina-based indie-folk band Day Action Band. The music of Day Action
Band inspired his film "Wrestling" and is based on the first song Day
Action Band wrote. Day Action Band contributed five songs and the
original score to "Wrestling"
His sister-in-law is Leah Stewart, the critically-acclaimed author of
the novels "Body of a Girl" and "The Myth of You & Me." Leah is married
to his older brother, Matt O'Keefe.
His first industry job as a director was observing director Mike
Ockrent and choreographer Susan Stroman on A Christmas Carol at Madison
Square Garden
Performed at the Candlelight Music Dinner Theater in Arden, Delaware,
where both Susan Stroman and Bruce Willis performed at the beginning of
their careers
