Idris and Sabrina Elba believe that when you treat yourself well you treat others well.
That ethos forms the basis of their new project, a genderless skin care brand called S’able Labs, launching on July 12 with three products made with natural ingredients from East Africa.
S’able Labs skin care is a natural progression for the duo, who wed in Morocco in 2019. The two first launched The Hub by S’able Labs, a website discussing interpersonal relationships and partnerships and how they pertain to self-care, in 2020, followed by an Audible podcast, Coupledom, in June 2021 featuring interviews with other notable duos like Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, filmmakers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and Ben & Jerry founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, on how they manage their partnerships.
As the Elbas began to build out conversations around coupledom and partnership, and how it relates to self-care,...

Much Ado About Nothing opens nationwide tomorrow and the cast has been doing tons of press junkets to get fans out to see the film.
In this sketch, what starts off as a fun interview about memories from set, quickly becomes a hostage situation as almost the entire cast of Much Ado gets threatened.
Major props to Emma Bates, who totally sells it. Watch the video below (it’s all bleeped, but a little Nsfw):

Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing is absolutely a must-see movie of the year, which deserves every ounce of the critical praise it has been receiving since its Tiff debut last year – you can read our five-star review here.
The film begins its limited release in the Us today, ahead of opening in the UK next weekend, and opening wider in the Us the following weekend. And a great new clip from the film has been released online, in which we get to see a battle of wits between Amy Acker’s Beatrice and Alexis Denisof’s Benedick.
Leonato (Clark Gregg), the governor of Messina, is visited by his friend Don Pedro (Reed Diamond), who is returning from a victorious campaign against his rebellious brother Don John (Sean Maher). Accompanying Don Pedro are two of his officers: Benedick (Alexis Denisof) and Claudio (Fran Kranz). While in Messina, Claudio falls...

Back in 2011, between shooting and editing The Avengers, Joss Whedon was supposed to take his wife, producer Kai Cole, on a dream Italian vacation to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Sensing an oncoming crisis of faith in filmmaking — perhaps one reason they’ve been able to achieve 20 years of marriage in an industry that seemingly grinds up and spits out unions just for kicks — she had another idea.
She suggested he finally shoot his dream project, a new black-and-white contemporary spin on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing using the original text with his friends/constant collaborators like Nathan Fillion, Alexis Denisof...

There’s no denying that May 2013 has been an incredible month for moviegoers, with Iron Man 3 becoming the first film to gross a billion dollars at the global box office this year, The Great Gatsby reaching $100m. in two weeks in the Us alone, and Fast and Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III topping the biggest Memorial Day box office weekend of all time. With so many blockbusters behind us, it’s amazing to think that we’ve still got so many still to look forward to, and so we come once more to our run-down of the top 10 must-see movies of the month, with the June 2013 edition.
And it is a great one.

There are two films you need to seek out next month: The first is Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing, and the second is Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
Whedon shot the former Shakespeare adaptation in secret in the confines of his own home, and the result is a masterpiece, with a version of Shakespeare’s play unlike any seen before. I was fortunate enough to see the world premiere of Much Ado About Nothing at Tiff last year – you can read our five-star review here – and cannot recommend it enough.
We were recently treated to a brilliant UK trailer. And with its release date just around the corner, we’ve got a great new image to share of Nathan Fillion and Tom Lenk, two of Whedon’s many frequent collaborators, as Dogberry and Verges.

Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing is all but guaranteed to be my favourite film of the year. I was lucky enough to be at its world premiere at Tiff last year – you can read our five-star review here – and instantly fell in love with it.
The first trailer debuted last month, giving the world a brilliant first look at Whedon’s upcoming adaptation. And now Kaleidoscope have released the new UK trailer, giving us a terrific new look at the highly anticipated drama/comedy.

The anticipation surrounding Joss Whedon’s upcoming Much Ado About Nothing is incredibly well deserved. The director has committed to film the best adaptation of Shakespeare’s work to date, and its June release date can’t come fast enough.
I was fortunate enough to be at its world premiere at Tiff last September – you can read our five-star review here – and have been eagerly awaiting its theatrical release ever since.
The brilliant first trailer finally arrived last month. And with its release less than two months away, EW have debuted the new Us poster, following on from the first official poster we saw late last year.

Much Ado About Nothing was by far my favourite film at Tiff last year, and I can’t wait for it to get its wide release this summer.

Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing instantly became one of my favourite films of all time when I saw it at its Tiff debut last year, and naturally I can’t wait to see it again this summer.
Shot in just twelve days in Whedon’s own home, the film gives a contemporary setting to the Shakespeare play, with Whedon bringing his usual brilliance and wit to the table whilst still using the original text.
The first trailer for Much Ado About Nothing is set to debut later today. And ahead of that, we’ve just been sent the official press release confirming that the UK release date will be 14th June. And to go alongside it, we’ve got a great new image to share.

Shadowlocked had the awesome, geeky privilege of talking to actor Fran Kranz (Dollhouse, Cabin in the Woods, Much Ado About Nothing) today, and among other things, he said that:
“I think Much Ado is coming out sometime early summer 2013.”
Of course, he didn’t say it as any kind of definite thing, and plans can always change, but this gives us some idea of whenabouts the release date should be. Given that a year ago, we didn’t even know that the film existed, waiting another 7 or 8 months seems acceptable. Especially since it was seven years between Joss Whedon’s feature directorial debut Serenity and his sophomore effort The Avengers, and now it seems it’ll only be about a year between his second and third films as director. Not to mention that Cabin in the Woods came out earlier in the year, and is now out on DVD. Though...

CBS have debuted the first clip from Joss Whedon's adaptation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, the mega-blockbuster that Joss Whedon took a break from to film the black-and-white, micro-budget The Avengers in 12 days. Wait, wrong way round...
The clip's at the end of the video, after several minutes of talking about The Avengers. But no-one's interested in that one, right? (By the way, that was sarcasm. Just making that clear, so no fanboys instinctively Hulk-smash the comments.)
Following on from his brilliant performance in Dollhouse and his brilliant performance in The Cabin in the Woods, Joss Whedon has cast Fran Kranz again, in the role of Claudio. Newcomer Jillian Morgese plays Hero, and Beatrice and Benedick are played by Fred and Wesley Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof.

Earlier today we revealed news of an elusive new project from the modern-day god of fanboys & fangirls everywhere, Joss Whedon. The above image sent shock waves of speculation across the blogosphere. Was this an actual film that Whedon somehow managed to shoot in the midst of making the big budget action extravaganza The Avengers? Or was this just another prank from the winsome Nathan Fillion? Well, Whedon himself has since deigned to comment, sending a press release to Deadline. So, here’s what we now know about Much Ado About Nothing:
This black-and-white adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy was shot in 12 days “entirely on location in exotic Santa Monica,” and produced by Bellwether Films, a small production company co-founded by Whedon and his wife Kai Cole to produce stories in various forms of media “embracing a Diy ethos and newer technologies for, in this particular case, a somewhat older story.

When it comes to Joss Whedon's work, I've seen Serenity, Toy Story and Alien: Resurrection. I've never seen "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", I have seen a season of "Angel" though I'm not sure how many of the episodes he wrote or had anything to do with, I've never seen an episode of "Dollhouse" and I tried to watch a little of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" but I wasn't able to get into it. So, when Whedon's new production company Bellwether Pictures announces he has just completed 12 days of principal photography on a modern version of Willian Shakespeare's classic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" I'm not particularly moved. However, I love the fact he has a team of regulars he works with that truly seem interested in telling stories and are passionate about doing so to the point they do it because they love it and not for the money moves me immensely.

I adore Joss Whedon! He created one of the best TV shows ever with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and his take on "The Avengers" looks very promising.
But this morning, to my surprise, there may be a new Whedon offering in the horizon by way of William Shakespeare!
Nathan Fillion, Whedon's partner-in-crime in the sci-fi series "Firefly" tweeted last night with a cryptic note, more like a link to muchadothemovie.com.
And when you go to the website, you see a black and white picture of a snorkeling guy, martini in hand, and the words "A Film by Joss Whedon" in the bottom.
According to The Wrap by way of The Huffington Post, the film is indeed made, and Whedon has adapted, written, and directed the movie.

Last night, tweets from former “Firefly” actors Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher linked to the site MuchAdoTheMovie.com, which announced the completion of a secret movie based on William Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing.
This caused quite an ado on Twitter, but it’s really something. Joss Whedon, who created “Firefly” among other cult favorites like “Buffy”, “Angel,” and “Dollhouse,” confirmed the movie “based on a play” on Monday with an official press release from the “micro studio” he co-created, Bellwether Pictures.

Clearly not happy with having any free time, it looks like Joss Whedon has somehow managed to take on another project while filming The Avengers. Rumours started to appear online last night with tweets from regular Whedon collaborators Nathan Fillion and The Avengers’ Clark Gregg, linking to the website http://muchadothemovie.com/. Based On A Play." The full list of actors named includes Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Tom Lenk, Ashley Johnson, Fran Kranz, Reed Diamond, Sean Maher, Riki Lindhome, Clark Gregg, BriTANick comedy duo Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, Jillian Morgese, Paul M. Meston, Emma Bates, Romy Rosemont, Spencer Treat Clark and Joshua Zar. Quite how Whedon managed to a) pull this off,...

Joss Whedon is known for doing things when you least expect him too. The famed fanboy director has apparently done some Shakespeare while directing The Avengers. “Much Ado About Nothing” is a secret project that Whedon and his film’s cast members started tweeting about early this morning. The film stars a lot of Whedon alums such as Amy Aker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher (all from Angel and Firefly fame). Other cast members include Clark Gregg, Ashley Johnson, Fran Kranz, Spencer Treat Clark, Tom Lenk and many more.
All we know about the movie is that it mirrors the same title used by Shakespeare in one of his comedic plays, “Much Ado About Nothing,” and the website we are pointed to does in fact say “a film from Joss Whedon, based on a play.”
