It’s Friday, and there’s no better way to greet the weekend than with a dark, horrifying short film. Filmmaker Patrick Scott--long the creator of bizarre web videos--has updated his Zoochosis YouTube channel for the first time since 2014 by posting a new eight-minute film called “Help.”
Scott’s videos, which often achieve seven-digit view counts, usually include a heavy dose of what is colloquially referred to as the “Wtf Factor.” “Help,” which looks like something out of a Victorian-era nightmare, is no exception. As Zoochosis videos are wont to do, Scott’s newest short will polarize its viewers, but there’s no denying its originality, its artistry, or the boldness of its practically dialogue-free approach.
