Romaric Laurence
- Composer
- Music Department
Born in 1975, Romaric Laurence had a piano and drums education. He grew
up in Paris, in an iconoclastic mix of hip hop experiences and a depth
study of composers who fascinate him - Ravel, Antoine Dvorak, John
Barry, Lalo Schifrin.
In 1999, he graduated from the SAE Institute as a sound engineer. He decided to embark on a musical experience for the cinema, combining electronic music, samples and symphonic orchestrations, but the proposition to sign with Universal Music Publishing turned him away from this way and he began to write songs for various artists from Universal (Faudel, Stomy Bugsy, Aude Feuillerat).
In 2000, he finally started his first experience for the cinema participating in the soundtrack of the film "Le ciel, les oiseaux, ta mère". After that, he mooved with "Samuraïs" from Giordano Gederlini, then signed the entire soundtrack of Claude Zidi "La boîte". Now present, on several major public films ( "Taxi", "Ongbak", "La Traque".), he also likes to work on art films, " Vivante", "Vendues ", where intrusion into the depths of orchestrated music sometimes seems more natural and where minimalism and less programmed compositions are meaningful.
In 2014, he finished the complete soundrack of "A toute Epreuve", film from Antoine Blossier.
