Lee Hollin has signed a new multi-year deal to remain in his position as executive vice president of television and head of current programming for Lionsgate Television Group.

Veteran TV exec, producer and entrepreneur Cris Abrego can add another line to his growing list of titles: Chairman of the Television Academy. Abrego was elected to the post on Thursday night by the org’s Board of Governors, as the TV Academy also firmed up its roster of officers and governors for the board’s 2024-2025 term.
Abrego is the chairman of the Americas at global production company Banijay, and also recently partnered with Eva Longoria to launch Hyphenate Media Group, where he serves as CEO. At the TV Academy, Abrego will begin his two-year term as chairman on Jan. 1.

Lionsgate Television Group chairman and chief content integration officer Kevin Beggs has signed a multi-year renewal of his contract.

Lionsgate has formed a new long-term employment deal with Kevin Beggs, the studio’s Television Group chair and chief content integration officer. Terms of the new contract were not disclosed.
Beggs and Lionsgate Television Group president Sandra Stern have led Lgtv for 20 years, making them together one of the longest-running leadership teams in television. Roku on Thursday confirmed the rumors that it had picked up a feature-length wrap-up of the canceled NBC drama.
Titled Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, the movie begins production this month in Vancouver, with Jane Levy (aka Zoey), Skylar Astin (Max), Alex Newell (Mo), John Clarence Stewart (Simon), and Andrew Leeds (David) all set to return.
They are joined by Alice Lee (Emily), Michael Thomas Grant (Leif), Kapil Talwalkar (Tobin), Mary Steenburgen (Maggie), Peter Gallagher (Mitch), and Bernadette Peters (Deb).
