Anne Hathaway became a household name when she made her feature film debut with The Princess Diaries. The film saw her play a teenager who discovers that she is a heiress to the throne of a European monarchy. The Disney film was a huge success at the box office, earning $165 million globally. The success of the film led to a sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
The sequel saw Wonder Woman star Chris Pine make his film debut and enjoy worldwide fame. Pine was reportedly struggling to make it as an actor and owed his parents money when he got the call that he was in the movie. Pine mentioned that the salary he was paid for the film was so huge for him at the time that he felt like the Earth shattered.

Sandra Oh is stepping into her vice principal role from The Princess Diaries once again for a special reunion.
The actress reprised her Princess Diaries role as Vice Principal Geraldine Gupta on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday to introduce guest and her Princess Diaries co-star, Anne Hathaway. Hathaway played Princess Mia Thermopolis in the original 2001 film and its 2004 sequel.
For the introduction, Oh reenacted her famous scene from the film when she picks up the phone and says into the receiver, “Gupta. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm,” before hanging up and telling everyone, “The queen is coming.”

Anyone who has seen "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" — and going by the film's impressive box-office numbers, that oughta be most of you out there — knows that Dan Stevens is an absolute delight in it. To be fair, this isn't a huge surprise, as anyone who's been following Stevens' on-screen career knows that the actor is routinely a highlight of everything he appears in, whether he's the lead in something like FX's "Legion" and "GxK" director Adam Wingard's "The Guest" or (and sometimes especially) when he's appearing as a supporting character in films like "Colossal" or this month's "Abigail."
His role of Trapper in "GxK" seems particularly special, however, given that Stevens isn't merely playing a comic relief character. Instead, he's some unique combination of a wonder-filled adventurer, an animal-loving veterinarian, and a laid-back hippie dude. That's just one way of describing Trapper, however — Stevens himself has...

Speaking to V Magazine, Anne Hathaway has dropped a hint that more Princess Diaries may be coming. “We’re in a good place,” is all she will divulge.
“That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place,” she said.
Hathaway played Mia Thermopolis in the first Princess Diaries movie in 2001, reprising the role for 2004’s The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
She starred alongside Julie Andrews, who played her grandmother Queen Clarisse Renaldi in the original movie and its sequel.
Andrews spoke to Today.com last month about a possible third Princess Diaries movie, and seemed to shoot down the idea. “It’s quite a long time now since the two Diaries were done, and I’m not sure, but sometimes it’s best to leave a good thing alone. I don’t like it when people milk and milk and milk the subject,...

It’s been well over a year since news first broke that Disney was moving forward with “The Princess Diaries 3.” Anne Hathaway can’t reveal any details, but she did assure fans in a recent V magazine interview that development continues on the long-anticipated sequel, and the intention remains to get it off the ground.
“We’re in a good place,” Hathaway said. “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
Hathaway would return as down-to-earth royal Mia Thermopolis in “The Princess Diaries 3.” It appears to be the sequel she is most interested in seeing through, as she doesn’t see a feasible way to bring another one of her popular classics, “The Devil Wears Prada,” back to life.
“Probably not,” Hathaway answered when asked about making a “Prada” sequel. “We all love each other and if somebody could...

For Late Night with the Devil star David Dastmalchian, all roads lead to and from Christopher Nolan.
In 2007, Dastmalchian was a struggling local theater actor in Chicago, and when Nolan’s The Dark Knight set up shop in the Windy City, he went through a circuitous casting process before eventually landing a part in his very first feature film. Dastmalchian played Thomas Schiff, a paranoid schizophrenic and former Arkham Asylum inmate that Heath Ledger’s The Joker disguised as his fellow honor guardsman during their infiltration of Commissioner Loeb’s funeral procession. When gunshots rang out and chaos ensued, Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) cornered Schiff in an ambulance and then forcefully interrogated him in another location.
14 years later, as Dastmalchian began to prepare for the role of the charismatic but troubled late-night talk show host Jack Delroy in Cameron and Colin Cairnes’ Late Night with the Devil, his greatest inspiration...

For years it was thought that both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were instrumental in Charles’ decision to propose to Princess Diana. But now questions are being raised about whether it was more Prince Philip than the queen who pushed for then-Prince Charles to ask for Diana’s hand in marriage.
That’s because, according to a new book, the late Queen Elizabeth actually wanted Diana to marry another royal instead of her oldest son. Here’s more on that.
Author says Queen Elizabeth wanted Diana to marry someone else
As Express noted, the claim that the late queen wanted the late princess to marry another member of her family instead of Charles was made in the biography My Mother and I by Ingrid Seward. According to the book, Queen Elizabeth would have preferred Diana to marry Prince Andrew, who was only one year older than the princess.

"Mary Poppins" has been a beloved children's film since its release in 1964. The musical comedy was a veritable hit among British and American audiences alike and launched the career of the incomparable Julie Andrews, who became one of the brightest stars of the late 20th century.
The Disney classic swept the 1965 Oscars, earning Andrews an Academy Award for her performance and snagging additional awards for visual effects, editing, and music. The film was a great triumph for the studio as well as the stars. It was immediately recognized as the masterpiece that it is and has only retained and strengthened its legendary status with age.

Actress Claire Foy is ready and braced for a lot of personal reactions to her latest film All of Us Strangers. Adapted from Taichi Yamada’s novel Strangers, writer-director Andrew Haigh’s emotional reimagining finds gay screenwriter Adam (Andrew Scott) working on a script inspired by a devastating personal tragedy: in the early ’80s, both his parents died in a car crash when he was just 12. Seeking inspiration, Adam travels back to his childhood neighborhood where he encounters his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) — not only still living in his former home but looking exactly the same as the last time he saw them.
Deadline: How did you first hear about All of Us Strangers?
Claire Foy: It was actually three or four months before we started shooting. One of my agents, Billy Lazarus, had a very, very emotional response to it, and I knew that it was something quite special.

Kotb turned the conversation to “the other wonderful headline in your life” and asked Andrews about how she may have helped “give birth” to the Swift-Kelce romance.
“I’m the new Bumble,” Andrews joked before they rolled a clip from an Aug. 3 episode of her podcast Calm Down With Erin and Charissa, which she hosts with fellow Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson. She addressed Swift, telling her if she’s looking for a guy,...

Ahead of her 88th birthday, we look back at the actor’s best roles, from a down-on-her-luck dame to everyones favourite umbrella-flying nanny
Not every moment of Andrews’ career has been brilliant. Ronald Harwood co-wrote this hypnotically shoddy romcom starring Marcello Mastroianni as Cesareo, an Italian, living in Paris, whose much-younger wife is having an affair with the spouse of uptight Briton, Pamela (Andrews). When the cuckolds get together, sparks fly – in one highlight, Cesareo swallows a glass of water containing Pamela’s contact lenses, then burps.

The secrets came tumbling out during this chapter of the V.C. Andrews Cutler Saga.
We spent much of V.C. Andrews' Secrets of the Morning watching sweet, reasonable Dawn be a fool in lust for a sleazy celebrity with decent hair. Who among us hasn't been there?
Secrets of the Morning had it all. We got entertaining lovable side characters, like the darling, devoted, and badass Tricia. The film also gave us some quality Fran Drescher content with her role as the nosy Agnes.
Secrets of the Morning also gave us eternally hot NKotB, Joey McIntyre playing a total sleaze ball while rocking the hell out of some bell bottoms, an antiquated house of horrors, the death of a Queen Biotch, and Dawn's come-up!
What more can you want?
Picking things up from where V.C. Andrews' Dawn left off, our girl was free of Lillian, or so she thought,...

If a man in a Vc Andrews story seems like a good guy, he’s more than likely the worst. That rang especially true with Michael Sutton in Episode 2 of the Lifetime limited series Vc Andrews’ Dawn, titled ‘Secrets of the Morning.”
Dawn (played by Brec Bassinger) moved to New York City to study singing and earned a coveted spot in Sutton’s class. That was a big deal, given that he was (allegedly) a Broadway star with dashingly good looks.

V.C. Andrews' Dawn's Joey McIntyre Teases Secrets of the Morning and Playing Naughty Michael Sutton!
It goes without saying that Lifetime lands the best actors for their Vc-Andrews-verse sagas.
And landing a New Kids On The Block member is right up there with their greatest hits.
One of the most exciting aspects of the V.C. Andrews Dawn Miniseries event is that we have the likes of Joey McIntyre channeling '70s Bad Boy Michael Sutton in part two of the Cutler Saga.
Of course, nothing topped chatting with the heartbreaker himself as he discussed the quick turnaround of getting this role, his great working chemistry with lead Brec Bassinger, and so much more.
We were fortunate enough to catch up with McIntyre ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike to discuss the project. Check out our full interview below!
So how exactly did an NKotB member end up in a V.C. Andrews film?
Not the way you'd expect!

It feels like just yesterday when Shaun Murphy was a first-year medical resident who had to prove that his autism wouldn't interfere with his ability to be a surgeon.
But it's been six years, and as of The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 22, Shaun is now a first-time father and attending physician at St. Bonaventure.
That's right -- The Good Doctor Season 7 is on its way, and we have info to share!
The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 22 ended on a high note, with Shaun holding his baby for the first time and naming him Steven Aaron after his brother and Dr. Glassman -- the latter of whom refused to come in to meet the baby.
That means there's potential for plenty of new-parent drama alongside the usual medical storylines when The Good Doctor continues.

On Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” the Season 23 playoffs began for Team Blake Shelton and Team Chance the Rapper. (Team Kelly Clarkson and Team Niall Horan will have their time in the spotlight next Monday.) Of the whopping six artists that were sent packing this week — three from each team — we asked our users to vote for who was unjustly eliminated, and their poll results overwhelmingly favor Kala Banham. She gained fans this year by jumping around from coach to coach, starting on Team Niall, then moving over to Team Kelly, before finally settling in at Team Chance.
Indeed, Kala nabbed 51% of fans’ votes, compared to 19% for their second-place choice, Jamar Langley of Team Chance. Interestingly enough, the only Team Blake member with double-digit support was Mary Kate Connor at 12%. Here are the complete poll results for who your fellow “The Voice” viewers think was most robbed this week:...

Welcome, baby Shaun Aaron Murphy!
There has been so much tragedy and sadness that some fans worried there'd be a last-minute pregnancy complication, but thankfully that didn't happen.
The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 22 didn't focus much on Lea's labor. Instead, Shaun left to help Asher with emergency surgery and returned just in time for the long-awaited birth.
By the hour's end, the Peanut had a name, Shaun and Lea were happy new parents, and Glassman sent a gift that doubled as an olive branch. Plus, no major characters died after a serious car accident. Thank goodness!
I was pleasantly surprised that Perez left St. Bonaventure to recover rather than in a body bag. Since the news broke before the episode aired that Brandon Larracuente had lined up a new series and was leaving The Good Doctor, it seemed logical that Perez would die.
Instead, Jordan dealt with an ethical dilemma...

Ahmedabad, May 1 (Ians) Fresh from their first win in the Indian Women’s League (Iwl) 2023, East Bengal Fc will take on Mata Rukmani Fc in Group A at the TransStadia here on Tuesday, hoping to add to their points and maintain their chances of advancing to the next stage.
After a heavy 2-8 defeat to Gokulam Kerala on the opening day, East Bengal bounced back with a 1-0 win over Kahaani Fc on Saturday. Ratna Halder’s late penalty made all the difference for the Red and Gold Brigade as they got off the mark in their debut Hero Iwl season.
However, despite the win, head coach Sujata Kar was left wishing for more from her team. “We won but the team didn’t play well on the field so I could be happier,” she said.
Kar did acknowledge her team’s strong spirit to recover from the big loss to Gokulam on day one.

As Carol Burnett turns 90, she bristles at the idea of looking back at her legacy. She’s not one to watch old episodes of her iconic “The Carol Burnett Show,” for example. “I’m not like Norma Desmond,” she quips, referring to the fading star in “Sunset Boulevard.” “The only time I do it is if I have to for a reason.”
In this case, NBC gave her a good one. The network is set to air “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love” on April 26, and the special features both new performances and clips from Burnett’s storied career. And it gave Burnett a chance to reminisce with old friends — and new.
“It’s exactly what I wanted,” Burnett said. “I didn’t want a birthday party with cake and balloons and confetti and all of that. What I wanted was to have an entertaining show. And that’s what we got.

Carol Burnett is turning 90 in star-studded style.

Though airing on Wednesday, the special was taped in early March, where Burnett expressed her thrill at celebrating her birthday in this way.

Glassman's mini-stroke shouldn't have led to him realizing he couldn't operate anymore.
On The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 21, Shaun became a pain in Glassman's ass, constantly standing over him and insisting he didn't know what he was doing.
And then, when Glassman was too distracted by Shaun's nonsense to verbalize his next step, Glassman concluded that Shaun had been right all along to want him to stop doing surgeries.
I get that the writers were going for a moving story about Glassman realizing he could no longer do the things he used to do, but they didn't pull it off.
Glassman seemed 100% competent until the last second. That's not a story. That's the writers pulling the rug out from under us for the sake of the plot.

In what world is Glassman unable to do surgery anymore?
Glassman might have occasionally forgotten a word on The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 20, but he came through when it counted. Shaun repeatedly noted that Glassman noticed symptoms no one else did and devised an innovative surgical option when the patient suffered a hemorrhage during a complicated procedure.
Yet Lim immediately jumped to the conclusion that Glassman could no longer do surgery based on Glassman's brain scan and Shaun's explanation that Glassman could no longer do well under pressure. Something doesn't add up here.
Shaun may be right that Glassman suffered a mini-stroke, but so what? His symptoms are no different than normal age-related blips in short-term memory, and no one would have been concerned if Shaun hadn't obsessively searched for a diagnosis.
Lim's conclusion wasn't based on any evidence of incompetence. The facts suggest the opposite conclusion -- Glassman is...

Exclusive: Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books has won a bidding war for North American publishing rights to a twist-filled true story rooted in intrigue surrounding a U.S. Air Force program.
