Smith encouraged Greg to pursue graduate study at USC. After moving to Los Angeles Greg also enrolled in classes at UCLA's School of Film & Television extension program where he discovered his passion for television, entertainment and production. Soon thereafter Greg was accepted into the highly sought after NBC Page Program, which offered him exposure to the entertainment business. After several years at NBC he became Manager, Business Affairs Administration where he was responsible for tracking daytime programs talent and production staff. This served as his introduction to Days of our Lives and the Corday Productions team that he joined in 1989. A trailblazer and visionary, on Days of our Lives, Meng has served as Co-Executive Producer since 2011 (so far winning two Emmys) and has been Executive in Charge of Production at Days of our Lives for over 17 years. He is also Sr. Vice President of Corday Productions, Inc.
Along with his lasting endeavors in production, Greg has recently added best-selling author to his resume having penned the three wildly successful books: Days of our Lives 45 Years: A Celebration in Photos, Days of our Lives: Better Living, and the NY Times Best Selling Days of our Lives: 50 Years. Days of our Lives 45 Years: A Celebration in Photos, launched in 2010 during the show's 45th anniversary and met with great excitement by fans. It provided a unique behind-the-scenes look into NBC's longest running scripted series breaking the 4th wall and included many never before seen images from Days' 45-year history.
While promoting his 45th anniversary book, Greg was able to get a firsthand look at the great extent to which the Days family of fans look to their favorite cast for inspiration in many aspects of their lives. This experience motivated Greg to author his second best-selling book, Days of our Lives: Better Living, a lifestyle guide which featured cast secrets to better and more balanced living as well as over 300 pages of never before seen exclusive images of cast members outside of their studio lives. Kicked off by a thrilling and successful 10 city press tour, the wellness book released in September 2013 to rave reviews by fans and critics alike. Greg is currently celebrating the success of his third and much anticipated book Days of our Lives: 50 years, an art book celebrating 50 years of Salem on NBC. Making the New York Times best sellers list its first week, fans got the opportunity to meet Greg and cast members as they toured the US and Canada on a record breaking book signing tour. The interest in the 50th anniversary book brought fans out in the thousands selling out at books at each signing.
Greg lives and works in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to be an essential part of the Corday family and the future Days of our Lives playing the dual roles of Co-Executive Producer and Executive in Charge of Production for NBC's longest running scripted series.
