Am Wochenende fand die First Steps Masterclass „Schreiben für das große Publikum“ statt, bei der zehn aufstrebende Filmemacher:innen über zwei Tage die Möglichkeit hatten, zusammen mit den Branchenxpert:innen Judith Gertken, Nina Haun (Casting Director) und Oliver Ziegenbalg (Drehbuchautor) ihre Ideen für einen publikumsstarken Kinofilm in einem frei wählbaren Genre vorzustellen und weiterzuentwickeln.
Am Ende des Workshops wählte die Jury, bestehend aus Sascha Gottschalck, Henning Kamm, Oliver Ossege und Catharina Schreckenberg, die vier vielversprechendsten und originellsten Ideen für je einen Exposévertrag in Höhe von 5.000 Euro aus:

Filmfest Hamburg’s Industry Days brings together the local industry with colleagues from throughout Germany and the international industry.
The programme of keynotes, panels, and workshops kicks off on October 2 with a keynote speech by one of Germany’s most prolific directors, Dominik Graf, known for features such as Fabian: Going To The Dogs and Beloved Sisters. It will be followed by discussions about the situation of emerging talents in Germany and the initiatives being developed to promote this up-and-coming generation of filmmakers.
