Angus Heïl was born in Sydney, Australia in 1996. He studied directing at EICAR in Paris. After graduating he worked on movies in ex-Yugoslavia, splitting his time between projects in Sarajevo and Belgrade. In 2019, he directed his first feature "Kondor" a Bosnian gangster movie. He returned to Sydney in 2020 and made a fashion drama short called "Melina". In 2021 Angus directed his second feature, "Dirty Mirrors", a private detective noir film, which had an extremely troubled production. In 2022 he made another short called "Confessions of a Crackhead", whilst also becoming more active as a photographer and a film lab technician.
