Rafael Larx was born in Miami, Florida. He studied directing & writing in Spain at Instituto del Cine de Madrid.
He was called to edit "Sambo Creek: el regreso de la llorona", a horror film about a famous myth in a local Honduras town; released on October 2021.
Soon after that, he filmed "The Rising Sun", a documentary about tourism in Southeast Asia.
In 2019 he filmed "El eclipse de Jimena", a social fiction about oppression in Mexico and the growing amount of homicides in the country itself.
A few months afterwards, he directed "The Fall", a surrealistic short about life's coincidences and the process we face to reach consciousness.
In 2020 he co-directed and edited a feature film called "Hijo de Familia".
Later on in 2020, he directed "Fuego y Cenizas", a romantic short film recorded on Nayarit coast and other locations of Jalisco. The film was released on 2022.
Since then, Rafael has been working on different series as an editor such as "Centauro del Norte" (DISNEY & STAR), and "De Brutas Nada 3" (SONY PICTURES & PRIME VIDEO), as well as other productions (commercials, videoclips, etc).
