Kiara Advani, who has been eagerly awaiting the release of her highly-anticipated film, Kabir Singh, has been recently roped in for Emmay Entertainment’s next, Indoo Ki Jawani, co-produced by Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen. If you walk into a Karan Johar film expecting subtlety, the joke is on you. The director has made a successful, nearly 20-year career out of using his films as vehicles to showcase stunning places, gorgeous people, and grand emotions. His unabashed preference of style (often over substance) and lavishness over logic has come to define his brand of cinema, so much so that audiences not only let him get away with it, but even look forward to his inflated-in-every-way productions by now.

He is one of the most sought-after Bollywood designers today. In addition Manish Malhotra’s candid rapport with B-town is evident from the starry turn-out at his fashion shows. Once again on a rainy morning earlier today, celeb’s from Manish’s closest friend circle turned up to support their favourite designer for his new diffusion store opening. Unlike the opening of his flagship store in 2006 which was marked with glitz and glamor, this one was an informal event with no press or media invites, but rather merely friends and family to celebrate the designer’s second store in the city. As per Manish, this store will stock lighter men and women’s wear, tunics, cocktail wear, etc.

The release of a Karan Johar film is always an event for Bollywood lovers. The man who gave us Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham probably has as many haters as he does hardcore fans (of which I am unashamedly one), but that doesn’t stop him from doing what he does best: making good old fashion, high budgeted, and overly glamorous Bollywood escapism.

In news for more controversial reasons than one, Heroine like all Madhur Bhandarkar movies was on the must-watch films list of many. For a country constantly fascinated with the inside tittle-tattle of the glamour world, salacious gossips has many takers. When a filmmaker intents to throw mirror on the colorful life of mainstream actress in his bare-all voyeuristic way, there can’t be a better subject for the commercial masala-loving Indian cinema audiences. But such narratives have a shelf-life. Having indulged in realistic portrayal of the showbiz in his previous films, there is just about that much surface that can be scratched whilst having to maintain a conservative approach at the risk of offending anyone. How then does Madhur make Heroine any different from his earlier flicks? Read on.
Heroine is the flashback tell-tale of actress Mahi Arora (Kareena Kapoor), her journey from lows to lows as narrated by TV presenter.

Those who felt that Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine is on its way to become a jinx, have now got yet another reason to feel so. After the untimely exit of the film's leading heroine Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (who was later replaced by Kareena Kapoor after a long gap), the film has met with yet another 'uncalled for' roadblock. This time round, the film's dialogue writer Niranjan Iyengar's laptop (that had the script of the film) got stolen away from his car that was parked outside Karan Johar's office on Wednesday.
Niranjan Iyengar then went to Khar police station and filed an Fir in this regard. He said that even though he is hopeful to get it back, he knows that the chances are bleak. Although Niranjan had emailed a chunk of the dialogues to Madhur earlier, the remaining will have to be quickly rewritten. In order to do that,...

Aalia Bhatt, daughter of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has been experiencing the world of Bollywood in a different way for the last few months. She has been shooting non-stop for Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, which also stars debutants Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in leading roles.
Karan Johar wrapped up the filming in Shimla earlier than planned, so that Varun Dhawan could join his brother Rohit in Mumbai for the release his debut film Desi Boyz. This was also a perfect opportunity for the young up-coming actress, who was described by scriptwriter Niranjan Iyengar as ‘a star waiting to happen’, to join her sister in London to spend quality time with her.
A source told BollySpice: “Aalia flew down to London join her sister Shaheen Bhatt. Shaheen has been there for a few weeks and Aalia went there to celebrate her sister’s birthday. Aalia is close...

Karan Johar’s last directorial venture, My Name is Khan, went on to become the biggest blockbuster overseas of all times. Now, Johar is currently busy with preparations for his next film titled Student of the Year. Dharma Productions released the first look of the film earlier this year in January, at a time when the script of the film was not even finalized. The film stars three debutantes Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra in leading roles. Karan went on several trips to London and New York to write the script of his new film. However, Karan was facing writers block, and revealed to a tabloid: “I wrote one page and it ended there as three different ideas came into my head. I couldn’t write any more as I am confused now as to which idea I should develop for my next film.”

My Name Is Khan makes two strong statements... The first: B.C. and A.D. are designations used to label years in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. There's a third designation now - 9/11. Post September 11, the world stands divided. Terrorist outfits continue to strike in the name of religion and the common man, not even remotely associated with these groups, is bearing the brunt. The world is not a safe place anymore. The second statement: There're two sets of people in this world - the good and the bad. No matter how strong the evil forces are, good always triumphs. Write your own movie review of My Name Is Khan My Name Is Khan mirrors the era we live in. Not a day goes by when you haven't heard/read/watched news of terror attacks and innocents being killed. We live in turbulent times. Also, the movie states - and states very strongly,...
