In what feels like the longest Droughtlander of them all, Starz revealed Thursday that its hit series Outlander will return with Season 7, Part 2 in November.
Season 7 is an extra-large extended season with 16 episodes split into two parts. The release of Part 2 was delayed about a year due to the writers and actors strikes. To catch up before then, every season, including Season 7, Part 1, is currently available to stream via the Starz app.
Inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s international bestsellers, Outlander follows Claire (Caitríona Balfe), a married former World War II nurse who in 1946 finds herself transported back to Scotland in 1743. Claire finds her true love was living in the past, dashing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). Each season, their love story expands, with Claire taking occasional trips into the future, and new characters are introduced into their tale.

He and Robach made headlines in late 2022 as news of their romantic relationship arrived while they were co-hosts for the ABC program GMA3.
They each had marriages at the time, although they later indicated they were in the process of getting divorced. Robach and Holmes were removed from the air amid an investigation and then terminated by the network.
Following all the drama, they continued to pursue their relationship, which included lots of gossip headlines, and eventually got divorced from their significant others.

[Note: With the film released today the UK, here’s a reposting of our review of Slotherhouse from its US debut last year]
What could possibly top the recent run of cocaine-fueled bears, sharks, and cougars? How about a cute, three-toed critter turning a sorority house into a Slotherhouse? Yes, the world’s slowest animal has turned homicidal and is carving up sorority girls like a seasoned slasher. Although, as the prologue that shows the critter getting bagged by poachers hints, this isn’t your typically chill furry tree hanger.
Emily wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become president of Sigma Lambda Theta, Slth for short. Unfortunately, she lacks the ruthlessness and social media presence of the current president Brianna. However, a chance meeting with Oliver, an exotic animal aficionado of dubious morality, changes everything.

A killing machine sloth named Alpha gets her claws out on a group of sorority sisters in this silly – and sadly unfunny – comedy-horror
As another academic year begins, the sisters at university sorority Sigma Lambda Theta are all a-flutter over rush week (whatever that is) and the election for this year’s sorority president; this is expected to be top mean girl Brianna (Sydney Craven) for the third year in a row. However Emily (Lisa Ambalavanar) longs to be popular too in this world where esteem is measured in social media likes and followers. Reasoning that people love interesting pets, she decides to adopt a three-toed sloth from a dodgy exotic animal importer (Stefan Kapicic) and bring it back to the sorority house. Unfortunately, no one realises until too late that the sloth, whom Emily and the others named Alpha, is a homicidal killing machine who doesn’t move all...

You know this film will be highly unserious if it’s titled with a pun. So, if you go in expecting nothing more than what it can offer, Slotherhouse delivers a delightful sense of campiness and a great message. Horror is a creative genre, and we get to see all sorts of things under the label. There’s a lot of fun to be had with this film, and the acting resembles any Hallmark or popular teen Netflix film. Also, Puppet Killer Sloth is quite adorable, and there is some self-aware dialogue that is very well-timed and funny. Emily is a sorority sister who is looking for meaning in her sorority life. She wants to stand for president of the house against popular girl Brianna. Emily is very concerned about her popularity and is trying really hard to make it big on social media. What’s the scariest creature the world has ever known? If you said the sloth, you’re not alone. Some may find these furry bundles of lethargy charming, but a closer look reveals a devious predator lurking amidst the trees just waiting to attack us with those long, blood-soaked claws. Matthew Goodhue’s Slotherhouse pits this tree-hanging menace with another fearsome fiend: the ambitious sorority girl.
Animal lover Emily (Lisa Ambalavanar) has set her sights on the Presidential Suite of her lavish sorority house as she begins her senior year of college. Unfortunately, this means she’ll have to take down incumbent mean girl Brianna (Sydney Craven) and her team of frightened minions. Hoping to boost her social media cred, Emily adopts a three–toed sloth she names Alpha from a sketchy animal poacher and unwittingly unleashes a blood bath as the tiny assassin slices her way through the Sigma Lambda Theta sisters.

Outlander has consistently entertained audiences with its gripping storylines. But those who have read Diana Gabaldon’s original books know that the adaptation has taken some liberties, creating unique twists on screen.
Whether altering characters or modifying key plot details, these changes have brought new dimensions to the tale, for better or worse. Here’s a closer look at the six times Outlander has made major changes from the books.
Jamie and Claire’s Battle of Culloden scars
As the Battle of Culloden loomed just moments away, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) faced the necessity of returning to the future. But at that moment, she was consumed by a desperate need to hold onto the memory of Jaime (Sam Heughan), seemingly destined to perish in the impending conflict.
Within the book’s pages, the characters etch their initials into each other’s hands, providing a tangible memento of their connection.

When atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the country responsible for the detonation thought only of victory in the war, disregarding the ordinary people who lost their lives in the blasts. This illustrates how extremely powerful individuals in a nation make drastic decisions that have the potential for economic or broader advantages, even at the cost of risking the common people’s lives. In Netflix’s latest offering, Painkiller, director Peter Berg depicts such drastic circumstances through its fictional retelling of a horrific true story. Painkiller is a story about a pharmaceutical company known as Purdue Pharma, owned by the Sackler family, that came up with a life-threatening drug called OxyContin disguised as a seemingly harmless painkiller that led a significant portion of the American population to develop addictions and subsequently lose their lives.

It’s been a tumultuous time for the Frasers and the MacKenzies in Outlander season seven, with Roger (Richard Rankin) and Bree’s (Sophie Skelton) son kidnapped in the 1980s, and the American Revolutionary War beginning back in the 18th century, where Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) struggle to stay alive amid mounting violence.
The seventh episode of season seven, “A Practical Guide For Time-Travelers”, leaves us with a shocking cliffhanger after Jamie faces the British forces in battle, with his illegitimate son William (Charles Vandervaart) fighting for the British during the First Battle of Saratoga. In the final shot of the episode, we see Jamie lying on the battlefield, covered in blood and seemingly dead, but what do Diana Gabaldon’s books tell us about Jamie’s fate? And what happens to Jamie’s family after these events transpire?

Once again, we've got two entirely different stories at play, threaded together by Claire's letter, written her present and in Brianna's past.
Another tie that binds them both is how the family is in grave danger -- Brianna's family due to the nefarious Rob Cameron and Claire's due to the wages of war.
Outlander Season 7 Episode 7 sets up the midseason finale with aching realities that we know will carry well into the second half of the season.
Let's start with the good. Roger MacKenzie and his great great great (many greats) Grandda put the past behind them and started fresh.
There's something about time travel that allows for bygones being bygones.
Buc stumbled through the stones in much the same way that Claire did, at least according to him.
I'm inclined to believe him because of the fascination he had with the present and the gusto with which he...

By the end of this week’s Outlander, two Fraser men are in very bad straits, with no clear rescue in sight.
“Well, actually, Jem is a MacKenzie,” you just thought. Ok, Ok — two men with Fraser blood coursing through their adventurous, often-in-peril bodies are left in seriously worrisome ways as we head into next week’s midseason finale. The aforementioned Jeremiah has been kidnapped by Rob Cameron (whom we all kinda knew was a tartan trash bag, right?), and Jamie closes the episode face-down on a field following the first Battle of Saratoga.

Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda hit the picket line with their “Grace and Frankie” costars outside Netflix on Thursday, standing in unity with fellow SAG-AFTRA members and emphasizing the importance of continued demonstrations against the AMPTP.
Tomlin said that the writers’ and actors’ double strike isn’t just for Hollywood creatives. It’s instead a moment that will impact laborers’ unionization efforts across the country and across industries.

June Diane Raphael, who played Brianna on the Netflix series, said SAG-AFTRA won’t let up until actors receive what they deem is a fair contract.
