Catharina Caiado is a Brazilian actress and performer, born in Lisbon. Known for her role in "The Kitchen" directed by Johnny Massaro, launched - and part of the Competitive Selection -of the 23rd Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival. Was exhibited at the 46th São Paulo Int'l Film Festival. Played the lead in the short "First breath after coma" directed by Alice Caiado. Performed in "Divinas", film directed by Vitória Mello Franco for BFI - British Film Institute, launched in Nowness.
Graduated in theatre at CAL. Is part of Nómada, theatre group based in Rio de Janeiro. Went to Angel Vianna (dance school). Went to a British School and is fluent in English.
With her theatre Company, Nómada, acted in "A Cozinha", inside a kitchen and "A Garagem", inside the garage of gallery Z42, both in Rio de Janeiro. Took theatre classes in London, including character study (Lady Mac Beth) with Phil Edgerly, actor and director at Royal Shakespeare Company. On stage, was directed by Georgette Fadel, Thierry Tremouroux, Anna Costa e Silva, Tino Sehgal, Lu Brites, Pedro Kosovski, Inez Vianna, Gunnar Borges, Johnny Massaro, Márcio Abreu, and others.
