Justin Long has sold a comedy series idea to NBC, according to Deadline. The series would star Long as a thirtysomething man married to an older woman with a teen child.
ABC has ordered a full season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which I hope will give it time to go from promising to being the great drama it could be.
Is the increasingly-blatant sexism on Survivor killing the show? NPR’s Linda Holmes thinks so, detailing the sexist moments from the last episode and saying that the series “is morphing into a grody love letter not to men, but to bullies.”
TV Guide says that TNT is considering a sequel series to Falcon Crest, one similar to its Dallas sequel. Susan Sullivan, who won’t be appearing in the series (her character died, along with a lot of my interest in the soap) says the proposed series...

Finally. Haven brought an end to the "Audrey's in the Bar(n)" saga with a nifty little twist. While we waited for that, we were treated to a truly spine tingling Trouble, making "Lost and Found" the best episode of Haven Season 4 so far.
While none of my theories or wishes of what might occur when Sarah/Lucy/Audrey/Lexie made her way back to Haven was used as the end results, it still changes everything and makes what comes next pretty exciting.
First let's chat about The Trouble of the week. Anything with kids is always extra scary, but put black blunt cut wigs, spiked teeth and blue eye shadow on them and make them giggle like little freaks and you can count me out of playing ring around the rosy with them.
I had never heard of a Douen before, but if I know my friends well enough,...

When we last talked to Kate Kelton about her return to Haven Season 4 and the role of Jordan McKee, she filled us in on how her Troubled character (and fan favorite) escaped death in last season’s finale.
But now that we’re a few episodes in, much has happened, the biggest being that Audrey (Emily Rose) is finally on a quest to get back to Haven (as well as regain her memory) with the help of guest star Colin Ferguson. And then, of course, Jordan is hell-bent on getting The Troubles gone for good and seems poised to do whatever it takes to make that a reality.
I recently sat down with Kelton, who gave me an idea of what’s next including some hot and heavy action and, of course, she teased some big surprises coming up.

With season four of Haven premiering in the Us this past weekend we got a chance to sit down with star Lucas Bryant, who plays Nathan on the Syfy original series.
This season starts off a bit bleak and Nathan seems to be this dejected version of himself, not the confident guy he used to be. So can you talk a little bit about what it has been like playing that version of the character?
Lucas Bryant: Yeah, that was a really cool turn for me. I mean you know as you said, Nathan has always been maybe a little bit too sure of himself. I mean sure, he’s always got doubts, but he had this kind of blind trust in himself, and Audrey, and that as you saw at the end of Season 3 led to a disastrous outcome. So now, yeah, getting to explore that you know...

With Nathan Wuornos left dying from multiple bullet wounds in the Season 3 finale, there was some concern that perhaps Nathan would not survive to see Season 4 of Haven. But first thing, star Lucas Bryant reassures that Nathan is not coming back as a ghost and is alive and well. Right out of the gate in the first returning episode, Nathan’s fate is revealed and he is walking and talking. As fans, we should never doubt that our heroes will make through the dire straits of season finale cliffhangers — but we still worry. So in case fans had not yet already seen the Season 4 promos put out by Syfy, Nathan survived. In fact, Haven picks up its story six months later. Six months?! I can hear the cries now. But we all want to know what happened with Audrey (Emily Rose), Duke (Eric Balfour) and Nathan during that six month period.

Season 3 feels like it ended so far away, but for fans, it feels like yesterday. The moment the barn disappeared taking Audrey (Emily Rose) and Duke (Eric Balfour) with it has been seared in our brains. We watched in horror along with Nathan (Lucas Bryant) as he stood watching in disbelief and horror as meteorites bombarded the little “troubled” town of Haven. As the comic book released with the Season 3 DVD/Blu-ray set showed, Nathan did survive his multiple gunshot wounds and Season 4 of Haven picks up six months later. So where shall we find Nathan after such a great amount of time? In a recent press call, star Lucas Bryant did his best to tease the upcoming season without too many spoilers. See for yourself!
This season starts off a bit bleak and Nathan seems to be this dejected version of himself — not the confident guy he used to be.

While some shows wrapped up their seasons this week (Teen Wolf), others are heading toward their finale and others (Syfy's Haven, TNT’s Cold Justice) are set to return/debut in the near future.
The good news is I’ve got some scoop on all of them – and some wedding reflections from Emmy nominee Cat Deeley. Ready to open up this week's Notebook? Let's do this!
Haven As you saw in my exclusive interview with Kate Kelton, her character of Jordan McKee will be back when Haven Season 4 kicks off on September 13 on SyFy. The actress told me that she knows a thing or two about holding a gun on the show even when she can use the weight of it for her character. She told me they have both a rubber gun and a decommissioned gun, but she recently had to work with the latter: “There is a scene...

When I used to have a life, Halloween was one of my favorite holidays. With the costumes, crisp air and crunching leaves what isn't there to like? Now that I don't play with costumes, I get to live vicariously through television. "Real Estate" was an extraordinary haunted house story wrapped inside of a Halloween celebration and I loved it. Haven made me so happy!
The best thing about the episode was that it put all members of this extremely talented cast together for the majority of the show. When I interviewed Kate Kelton, she said this type of episode is done as a cost saving measure, because it is low on production costs. If it costs less to have them all together, then I'm all for more of these brilliant ensemble pieces. Did I mention it was directed by Jason Priestley? Apparently he enjoyed his turn as Chris Brody so...

In the fan world for Syfy’s supernatural series Haven, a hot and heavy debate has raged for over the past 3 seasons over whether Audrey Parker’s (Emily Rose) heart should be won by the bad-boy smuggler Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) or the good-guy police detective Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant). For the better part of the first couple seasons, it was a genuine toss-up between the handsome heroes and yet as the second season came to a close, it seemed like Audrey had finally made up her mind and chose Nathan.
However, the third season has shown in the first few episodes, that there may be a change of heart or rather a shift in the tug-of-war. So what exactly changed?
For one, Audrey did. She found out that her time in Haven may be coming to an end rather rapidly as she could literally disappear from the face of the planet in 46 days.

The supernatural thriller series Haven upped its game in its third season by revealing that its hero Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) had only 46 more days before she vanishes from existence. For as Audrey just recently found out, in each of Audrey’s prior lives — 27 years ago when she was known as Lucy and three decades before that when she was known as Sarah — Audrey’s former selves mysteriously vanished after a comet known as The Hunter crossed the horizon.
In her short six-month stay in the sleepy town of Haven, Maine, this was by far the most terrifying prospect Audrey had encountered. As if coming face-to-face with the woman whose identity she inadvertently taken on was not startling enough, now Audrey has found out that her days in Haven are numbered.
Adding another dire layer to the mystery is a creepy serial-killer stalking Audrey and all those she holds dear.

It's only the fourth episode of the season, and we've had three new characters introduced. Fortunately, each has been a raving success. I would not have imagined that to be possible.
To start, I adore Claire. How can you not love a psychologist who learns regressive hypnotherapy on the Web despite Yale's insistence it's a bunch of hooey? Bree Williamson has made Claire completely irresistible and full of charm. Well done.
Last week Dorian Missick joined as Tommy Bowen. Given his shady circumstances and that he's in Haven for nefarious reasons, I shouldn't be a fan. But Tommy seemed so clueless to the overall scenario he'd gotten himself into that it's a lot of fun watching him. I totally bought into Vince and Dave wanting to write a story on him, but it was even better that Tommy was played a fool by them. It suited him perfectly and showed...

If you're a die hard Haven fan, you haven't missed the television promo floating around that's putting a fly in the ointment of Nathan and Audrey's relationship.
It turns out that "fly" is Jordan McKee, a member of The Guard, a group purported to be the protectors of Haven's troubled, bearer of the mysterious tattoos and around for generations. Jordan is played by Kate Kelton, who told me yesterday she's "petrified" to be joining a solid cast and thrusting herself into Nathan and Audrey's world.
I think the magic of Haven and its fans has been their ability to distinguish the difference between the characters on the show and their portrayers, and if this interview is any indication, she has nothing to fear...

This new season of Haven is absolutely terrific; familiar yet fresh, just the way we like our favorite shows. We would absolutely hang out with – heck, we would date, if we were available and they were willing – any of the main characters of this show. The third season of Haven is not just about bigger and better mysteries, it is a season that promises answers. When co-creators and executive producers Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn first started the show, they wanted viewers to focus on the questions of: What is going on with Audrey? And where does it all lead? And this is the season we get answers to those burning questions. However, it should be cautioned that season three will also bring up new mysteries to be solved, one of which will lead to a cliffhanger that fans should be prepared for in the finale. The one promise is, that no matter what questions arise or which mysteries are solved, fans will enjoy finding it all out.

When we all first met Duke Crocker, we saw a young man motivated by his own goals, whether that was smuggling goods or running his restaurant The Grey Gull. He only became embroiled in the ongoing “troubles” of Haven as events began to spiral out of control, and over the course of the past 2 seasons, we have seen a fascinating transformation in Duke.
As portrayed by star Eric Balfour, Duke became much more attune to how all the “troubles” were beginning to affect him and encroach on his way of life. At first begrudgingly and then a bit more determinedly, Duke seemed to realize that this was a unique opportunity to change his fate; though he probably never anticipated that his fate had already been preordained from birth simply because his family carried a curse or “trouble” of their own. At first begrudgingly and then a bit more determinedly, Duke seemed to realize that this was a unique opportunity to change his fate; though he probably never anticipated that his fate had already been preordained from birth simply because his family carried a curse or “trouble” of their own. He found out that by killing anyone afflicted with a...

As fans of the Syfy series Haven are well aware, the show’s hero Nathan Wuornos (portrayed by Lucas Bryant) is cursed with an affliction (or “trouble” as such things are known in Haven) that prevents him from physically feeling anything. It was thus with unexpected surprise and joy that Nathan accidentally discovered that for whatever reason he could feel the touch of Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), a newcomer to Haven. It was a secret that Nathan concealed for the better part of the first season of Haven and one which, after known, created a tantalizing prospect of a romance between Nathan and Audrey in the second season. But just as they were about to step in that direction, the second season finale snatched that possibility away with Audrey’s untimely kidnapping. The “troubles” of Haven had struck again and this time it was straight through the heart. In a recent exclusive sit-down interview,...

It's been awhile since we've mentioned Syfy's hit series "Haven," but this latest news was just too juicy to ignore. WWE Superstar Edge is returning to the show and will appear in multiple episodes of the show’s third season including the premiere, September 21st at 10Pm Et/Pt.
From the Press Release:
Edge (aka Adam Copeland) will reprise his role of Dwight Hendrickson, a shrewd, longtime Haven resident and “troubled” handyman who can truly handle anything, and often does, as the town’s “cleaner.” A close ally of Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant), Dwight helps to cover up all of the town’s supernatural goings on and to keep Haven’s secrets hidden.
Season Three of "Haven" picks up immediately following the events of the gripping Season Two finale with Audrey (Emily Rose) having been brutally kidnapped, Nathan warned against pursuing a romantic relationship with Audrey, and Duke (Eric Balfour...

Some of the best news coming out of Syfy lately is the fact that Haven is returning for its third season on September 21, less than a month away. There is an atmosphere on the show, set in a small seaside town in Maine (no surprise, as it’s based on a novella by Stephen King), that combines with the exceptional cast chemistry and fantastically twisty plots to make it easily my favorite show on Syfy. You could say it has – sorry – an Edge.
Because it does. WWE superstar Edge (Adam Copeland) joined the show for a few guest appearances last season as Dwight, a “cleaner” of the aftermath of Troubled incidents, and now we hear from Syfy that he’ll be back for Season 3. It would be easy to suspect that this is stunt casting, but honestly, he’s a natural. The show has consistently excellent writing, but the actors still need to bring it,...

Featuring Max Williams, Neil Napier, Kate Kelton, Jessica Steen, Eddie Izzard, Eric Roberts
This new IFC original series from Alan Spencer is far darker, more violent, and mind-bending than his classic comedic 80s series Sledge Hammer!.
Set in a city called Bruteville, which is neither American nor European but vaguely both, Bullet in the Face is a grim and violent study of modern film noir in explicit graphic novel style. Far darker and more brutal than most comedies, Bullet in the Face utilizes a sleazy cast of characters covering the tropes of crime stories: the tough-as-nails, brassy female police commissioner; the true-blue cop mourning the death of his partner; the eccentric and fabulously wealthy crime lord; the mysterious, deceitful femme fatale.
And yet it is a comedy. Career criminal Gunter Vogler is shot in the face by his girlfriend, hitman (hitwoman?...

The trailer for Joseph Kahn’s Detention has made its way online, the film will be debuting at SXSW film festival. The film seems to be a horror/comedy/high school type! It stars Josh Hutcherson, Dane Cook, Spencer Locke, Parker Bagley, Richard Brake and Kate Kelton.
Detention is a teen horror-comedy where the local students of Grizzly Lake must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher movie killer who has seemingly come to life. It becomes a race against time to stop the killer and save the world – if only they can get out of detention. The Detention cuts through prom. Most of them don’t have dates anyway.
