“Always Woodstock” is a coming of age story for an aspiring singer, Catherine Brown, who was stuck at a dead end job in New York City at a mega music record label. She spends her days as a wrangler for the company’s most difficult star. After she was fired for an incident with the company’s most important talent, she came home to her long-time fiancée in the arms of another woman. It triggered a change for her to move back home to Woodstock where she meets a handsome doctor, Noah, and writes music with the help of a local musical legend Lee Ann. As she starts to learn about love again, she realizes that becoming successful means becoming your true self first.

The Forest Rangers previously offered up a fiery take on Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" – but with their latest Dylan cover tune, 1964's "Boots of Spanish Leather," the Sons of Anarchy house band employs a hazier, more restrained approach. The recording (featured during Tuesday's night's episode, "Faith and Despondency") is led by a stirring vocal from singer-songwriter Amos Lee, who draws out a sense of emotional turmoil from the lovesick lyrics.
"No, there’s nothin’ you can send me, my own true love/There's nothin’ I wish to be ownin',...

Sons of Anarchy house band the Forest Rangers aren't afraid to put their unique spin on a beloved classic. For Tuesday night's episode, "The Separation of Crows," the eclectic crew recorded a wicked version of the Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix anthem "All Along the Watchtower," letting vocalist Billy Valentine wail vividly over a tumbling drum part and psychedelic wah-wah.
"There must be some way out of here,' said the joker to the thief," SoA music supervisor Bob Thiele tells Rolling Stone, referencing the opening line from the classic-rock staple.

Sons of Anarchy house band the Forest Rangers have been known to kick it old-school: Last month, they unveiled their scorching cover of blues classic "Baby, Please Don't Go" for the Season Seven episode "Poor Little Lambs." But for this week's installment, "Greensleeves," the eclectic group went even further back, reworking the titular English folk ballad into a brooding textural epic.
"Greensleeves stirred my heart anew / Greensleeves caught my eye of blue," sings the show's star Katey Sagal over drifting acoustic guitars, cello and keyboards. "Greensleeves put my soul at...

With their scorching cover of "Baby, Please Don't Go," Sons of Anarchy house band the Forest Rangers add to the storied lineage of a ubiquitous blues standard. Their no-frills version is set to appear in the seventh season's fourth episode, "Poor Little Lambs," which airs on Tuesday, September 30th.
SoA music supervisor Bob Thiele says this straightforward, guitar-heavy approach is exactly what the Forest Rangers had in mind. "This one ain't rocket science," he tells Rolling Stone, calling the track "a straight-up, balls-out version of the blues classic made famous by Muddy Waters.

FX’s murderous biker club is going out on top: Sons of Anarchy returned for its seventh and final season Tuesday night and posted the biggest audience delivery in the show’s history.
The 90-minute opener debuted to 6.2 million viewers at 10 p.m. and a whopping 3.2 rating among adults 18-49. That’s up 5 percent from last year’s premiere. Moreover, Sons beats every show on cable and broadcast (especially Fox’s Utopia).
If Sons continues to pull these kind of numbers — and you know they’ll climb even higher for the series finale — the drama will likely win this slot throughout the fall,...

School started again last week. Bye bye summer, hello 8th grade. We had to do an assignment in one of my classes where you bring in an object or picture that means something to you and talk to the class about why it is special. I know it sounds like a kindergarten assignment, like show and tell, but it isn't at all. The object couldn't just be a piece of Lego, it had to be something that affects your life. (I guess to someone a Lego could be really meaningful, but it doesn't do much for me. ) I brought in a picture of one of my grandfathers, Bob Thiele. My other grandparents are probably reading this and are getting ready to call me up and say, "Why didn't you bring in a picture of me?" Well......
