The festive celebration featured a duet between real-life lovebirds Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, while current coaches Kelly Clarkson and John Legend also got into the holiday spirit. And yes, former coach Adam Levine of Maroon 5 fame also made his first appearance on “The Voice” since his controversial exit last year.

Heading into the first week of live playoffs on “The Voice,” there were still 17 artists in the running to join the winners list. That number got whittled down to only the Top 9 during Tuesday’s results show, which meant a whopping 8 artists had to say goodbye. Of this unfortunate group, who do you think was most robbed of a spot in the Top 9: Madeline Consoer, Joseph Soul, Sid Kingsley, Taryn Papa, Chloé Hogan, Tanner Gomes, Payge Turner or Worth the Wait? Vote in our poll below.

Team Kelly‘s results were up first, with host Carson Daly announcing Desz as America’s choice to advance to the next week. Kelly then picked Cami Clune as her judges’ save, saying it was the smart thing to do strategically as Cami had a lane all to herself. As for the others, Tanner Gomes sang...

Based on your responses to the Voice poll that followed Monday’s recap of Season 19’s Live Playoffs, Team Kelly Clarkson’s Madeline Consoer, Team John Legend’s Bailey Rae, Team Gwen Stefani’s Joseph Soul and Team Blake Shelton’s Four-Way Knockout survivor Taryn Papa were so near the end of their runs on the sing-off that they should’ve been able to see the checkered flag waving.
The poll results also suggested that we were not headed for the all-country finale that the coaches had seemed intent on arranging in order to compete with King Blake. (Only Ben Allen,...

Last night on “The Voice,” the Top 17 artists gave it their all on the stage in the first live episode of Season 19. America voted overnight for their favorite artists, and by the end of Tuesday’s results show the Top 9 would be revealed. That’s right — a whopping eight contestants were about to be eliminated on live television. Talk about a bloodbath! Here’s how it works: the four highest-voted singers from each team will immediately sail through, and then each of the four coaches will then get to choose one person to advance. That leaves the ninth artist in America’s hands via the Twitter instant save. Here’s a closer look at each coach’s roster at the top of the show:
Team Kelly: Desz, Madeline Consoer, Tanner Gomes, Cami Clune
Team Gwen: Carter Rubin, Payge Turner, Joseph Soul, Ben Allen
Team Blake: Ian Flanigan, Jim Ranger, Worth the Wait,...

Jeepers! And we thought the cuts that The Voice coaches made during the Battles and Knockouts had hurt. (Or at least I had; maybe you guys drink less coffee than I do, but you seemed to take it all more in stride.) Monday’s Live Playoffs set the stage for Season 19’s biggest round of eliminations — Tuesday’s results show would send packing eight singers. Which ones? Perhaps you can predict based on the below reviews of the Top 17’s performances. If you take into account my legendarily tin ear, you can probably assume with remarkable safety that anyone I...
