The eliminated chefs from Bravo’s Top Chef: World All Stars have been battling it out in Last Chance Kitchen to return to the competition. However, it ends next week during episode six when one officially re-enters.
Luciana Berry was eliminated from ‘Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen’
Top Chef Spain Season 1 winner Begoña Rodrigo’s “leftover” stew sent her to Last Chance Kitchen to battle it out with Brasil Season 2 champ Luciana Berry and Canada Season 1 winner Dale MacKay for a final opportunity to return to the competition.
The chefs were tasked with creating a three-course meal, including a crunchy, creamy, and chewy dish. Begoña immediately claimed the chewy one, leaving Luciana with crunchy and Dale with creamy. Unknowingly, the Spain and Brasil winners chose to make squab, but Begoña’s dish stood out as the favorite as her sauce impressed judge Tom Colicchio.

Bravo’s Top Chef: World All-Stars invites former winners, finalists, and memorable contestants to London for its 20th season, where the chefs are battling it out for $250,000. After episode 4, a contestant joined Last Chance Kitchen with hopes of winning their way back into elimination, and another chef was officially eliminated from the competition.
Luciana Berry is the next chef to join ‘Top Chef: World All-Stars: Last Chance Kitchen’
By the end of the three-round tournament-style challenge featured in Top Chef: World All-Stars Episode 4, Top Chef: Brazil Season 2 winner Luciana Berry’s pea-centered dish failed to impress the judges, eliminating her.
She excitedly entered Last Chance Kitchen, ready to face Top Chef: Thailand finalist Phattanant “May” Thongthong and Top Chef: Canada champ Dale MacKay to win her way back into the competition.

“Top Chef” World All-Stars Dale MacKay and May Phattanant Thongthong didn’t communicate too well when they had to team up for the “Cheeky Pints and Pub Bites” Elimination Challenge. That ended up dooming them both as this was a double elimination. They seemed frustrated with each other during the challenge and later on in “Last Chance Kitchen,” so who really was at fault for their ouster? Scroll down for our complete poll results.
We asked readers, and a leading 42.07% of them said MacKay was more at fault for getting them sent home. He was the one who pressured Thongthong into a very literal, straightforward preparation for their Scotch egg. It wasn’t until they were about to serve the judges that MacKay noticed that the other chefs had done fine-dining deconstructions of their dishes.

For Top Chef Season 20, contestants who competed in international versions of the Bravo cooking competition show, including many who won or finished in the finals, returned for World All-Stars. By episode 3, four chefs have been eliminated from the main competition. However, they can win their way back into the game by competing in Last Chance Kitchen. Two chefs have already been officially eliminated.
Samuel Albert is the first officially eliminated from ‘Top Chef: World All-Stars’
Top Chef: France winner Samuel Albert was the first eliminated when he failed to deliver in the vegetable-forward dish challenge. He faced Top Chef: Portland finalist Dawn Burrell in the first episode of Last Chance Kitchen as her crispy rice cut her from the main competition.
The two were tasked with recreating their former winning dishes using the same protein in 30 minutes. Sam decided to incorporate his Japanese French fusion into the salmon-based dish, but the time constraint concerned him.

I’m not sure how I feel about Canadian “Top Chef” alum Dale MacKay on “Top Chef: World All-Stars.” In the latest episode of “Last Chance Kitchen,” following his double elimination with May Phattanant Thongthong in season 20, episode three, “Cheeky Pints and Pub Bites,” he shows a confident swagger, but I wonder if he owns the decisions he made that led them to being eliminated in the first place. Watch above and let us know what you think.
“I don’t hold anything against May,” says MacKay. “I’m upset at myself. I didn’t take more of an aggressive leadership role.” Thongthong counters, “I asked Dale to do something more special, but he just wanted to do something safe.” It’s true that Thongthong was the one who chose the Scotch egg as their dish, but it was MacKay who insisted on the straightforward, no-frills preparation that ultimately got...

After the elimination of Dawn Burrell at the end of “Rice, Rice Baby,” the remaining 14 “Top Chef” contestants know that nobody is safe. “Second week, and we lose a very good chef,” laments Sylwia Stachyra. But there’s no rest for the weary in season 20, episode 3, “Cheeky Pints and Pub Bites.”
The 14 remaining competitors playing for the $250,000 grand prize are Ali Ghzawi (Middle East and North Africa), Sara Bradley (Kentucky), Charbel Hayek (Middle East and North Africa), Victoire Gouloubi (Italy), Dale MacKay (Canada), Sylwia Stachyra (Poland), Luciana Berry (Brazil), May Phattanant Thongthong (Thailand), Begoña Rodrigo (Spain), Buddha Lo (Houston), Tom Goetter (Germany), Gabriel Rodriguez (Mexico), Amar Santana (California), and Nicole Gomes (Canada).
“We have a little surprise for you,” says Tom Colicchio, who talks to the gathered chefs with his fellow judge Gail Simmons. “There’s no Quickfire tomorrow.” A sense of dread rises in the room. “That’s a good thing!

Samuel Albert and Dawn Burrell are out of the competition on “Top Chef” season 20, so who will go home next in tonight’s third episode, “Cheeky Pints and Pub Bites”? Fans have been placing their bets all week here in our predictions center. You can make or update your own predictions before tonight’s show airs.
As of this writing “Top Chef Poland” alum Sylwia Stachyra is expected to get the boot with leading odds of 7/4. This comes after she received a low score in the “Rice, Rice Baby” Elimination Challenge. She wound up in the bottom three because, despite an excellent stew, her rice ended up too sweet due to her use of vanilla salt to flavor it. As this was specifically a rice challenge, that misstep was enough to put her at risk of elimination. Luckily for her, the judges preferred her dish to Burrell’s undercooked black rice non-congee,...

“I’m just sorry about Dawn. Second week and we’re losing a very good chef,” says Sylwia Stachyra after the elimination of Dawn Burrell in “Top Chef” episode two, “Rice, Rice Baby.” Begoña Rodrigo, adds, “Watching people from everywhere here in London, for me it’s f*cking amazing.” The 14 remaining chefs in the competition bond in a special sneak preview clip from the next episode on Bravo. But they don’t have much time to relax. Watch the video above.
The chefs discuss the cultural experience they’re sharing, and Stachyra addresses the uncertainty in the world. “I’m from the city which is 80 kilometers from Ukraine,” she explains. “When the war started we cooked the food, we gave our furniture, our clothes, everything we had … I’m happy that I had the family who supported me. Samuel Albert and Dawn Burrell were the first two chefs eliminated from “Top Chef” season 20, which has brought together winners and finalists from around the world. They had to pack their knives and go on very different dishes for very different reasons, but their face-to-face challenge on “Last Chance Kitchen” to try to stay in the competition tapped into what they have in common. Watch their “Lck” episode above.
Albert was ousted in “London Calling” on a vegetable dish where he failed to clean his prawns properly. Multiple judges were served dishes with the prawns’ intestinal tracts not removed — a truly unappetizing mistake. Burrell was eliminated in “Rice, Rice Baby“; she tried to make a black rice congee, but she didn’t have enough time to cook her rice fully, resulting in a dish that was crunchy when it should have been creamy.

Last week 16 “Top Chef” All-Stars from all over the world flew to London for the show’s first ever international competition. “Top Chef France” champion Samuel Albert was the first out after he failed to devein the prawns in his vegetable dish. British pubs and the famous Harrods food hall served as inspiration for Bravo’s new season of “Top Chef.”
Award-winning production designer James Pearse Connelly, who has designed the show’s set for nearly a decade, wanted to capture the essence of British culture for his ninth kitchen. Says Connelly, “It was about how to bring London into the show with all-star chefs from around the world.”
Connelly started by looking at how pubs were designed. He says, “I started with wood paneling and that mystery, intimacy, intrigue and sparkle of what a British pub is.” Additionally, he brought in diamond pane glass and paid homage to London’s famous Big Ben with round, clock tower-inspired doors.
With former contestants Dawn Burrell, Buddha Lo, Sara Bradley and Amar Santana all competing, Connelly says he wanted to draw on that top-tier quality they were bringing to the show. He says, “There...

Last week’s “Top Chef” episode, “Restaurant Wars,” was a giant killer as it ended with the elimination of Jackson Kalb. He’d had the judges’ favorite dishes for the majority of the season up to that point despite not being able to taste his own food, but his poor ideas combined with his poor front-of-house service ended his run on the show. That left seven cheftestants in the competition: Damarr Brown, Evelyn Garcia, Jae Jung, Luke Kolpin, Buddha Lo, Ashleigh Shanti, and Nick Wallace. How did they fare in episode nine, “Freedmen’s Town,” when they had to cook food that nurtured their own souls. Read on to find out what happened this week.

“Top Chef: Houston” started last week with a challenge focused around primal cuts of beef. So it’s fitting that episode two, “Friday Night Bites,” took the cheftestants in completely the opposite direction: carbs! Read on to find out what the contestants did with my favorite food group.

The 14 chefs remaining in the competition were Damarr Brown, Jo Chan, Monica Feybesse, Evelyn Garcia, Robert Hernandez, Jae Jung, Jackson Kalb, Sam Kang, Luke Kolpin, Buddha Lo, Stephanie Miller, Ashleigh Shanti, Nick Wallace, and Sarah Welch.
But before the chefs went carb crazy, they had to tangle with my second favorite food group …

“Top Chef” has held a season in Texas before, but perhaps surprisingly they never made a stop in Houston, America’s fourth largest city, until now. Season 19 of the cooking competition kicked off in the Lone Star State on Thursday night, March 3, with “Primal Instincts,” a tricky team challenge to see who was a cut (of beef) above the rest.

After safely and successfully filming its most recent season last year in Portland, Ore., “Top Chef,” Bravo’s Emmy-winning culinary competition, has moved to Houston for Season 19. Production has begun there, and the show will premiere next year.
Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons are all returning to adjudicate the new group of cheftestants. Also coming back will be a variation of last season’s “Top Chef” all-star judging panel, in which alumni of the show joined its bubble as guest judges and mentors. The idea was born out of pre-covid vaccine necessity, but proved to be popular with the show’s fans. Tiffany Derry, Hung Huynh, Stephanie Izard, Melissa King, Kristen Kish, Kwame Onwuachi, Sam Talbot, Brooke Williamson and Claudette Zepeda are among the alumni who will appear on “Top Chef’s” 19th season, with more names to be announced later.

"Top Chef" winner Gabe Erales has issued a new apology amid his sexual misconduct scandal, admitting to past inappropriate behavior with an employee and committing to "personal growth."

With his reputation and his future Austin restaurant on the line — along with, presumably, important elements of his personal life — Gabe Erales, the winner of the recently concluded Season 18 of “Top Chef,” has delivered a lengthy apology on Instagram. Erales’ win, after a triumphant season of the Bravo show, has been mired in controversy since news broke of his firing from Comedor, the Austin restaurant where he was head chef.
In a post on Friday, Erales wrote: “The last three weeks have been a trying time of reflection and personal growth.” He said he needed “time with my family to start the healing process before making a public statement.”

“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi called for an investigation into Season 18 winner Gabe Erales after allegations of misconduct were resurfaced following his victory this week.
In December 2020, Eater Austen reported that Erales was let go as the executive chef of Comedor, a high-end Mexican restaurant. Citing an email from chef and partner Philip Speer, Erales was discharged because of “repeated violations of our policies and for behavior in conflict with our values.” No further details were given at the time.
But on Friday, the Austin American-Statesman reported that Erales was fired after cutting the hours of an employee with whom he had a sexual relationship and engaging in “inappropriate communication” with her after that relationship ended.
“After I returned from ‘Top Chef,’ I made some business decisions as a manager that affected this employee and were found to be discriminatory and I realized that those were bad decisions,” Erales told the Statesman in a statement.

Not everyone is celebrating Top Chef's latest winner. On Thursday, July 1, Bravo's hit series came to an end when Gabe Erales beat out fellow contestants Dawn Burrell and Shota Nakajima and received the $250,000 cash prize in the season 18 finale. After the episode aired, however, some viewers brought up a December 2020 report that claimed Gabe was no longer working at a restaurant due to "repeated violation" of company policies.
