James N Moseley is a versatile individual whose life journey has taken him through various roles and experiences, shaping him into the person he is today. He is known for his resilience, adaptability, and remarkable contributions across different domains.
As the eldest of three brothers, James grew up in a nomadic lifestyle across the Midwest of the United States, including Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Raised by his mother, who worked as an Emergency Room Surgery Nurse, James navigated the challenges of single parenthood during the 1960s-80s. His father's absence in his life motivated James to forge his own path.
James's journey led him to join the Army, where he achieved the significant milestone of graduating from High School while on active duty. His time in the Army included participation in a "Combat Action" during Operation Just Cause in Panama in 1989. Upon returning to the States in 1990, James found his passion for live performance, engaging in street performances in Boulder, Colorado. Armed with situational jokes and crowd interactions, he began to establish himself as an entertainer.
Later, James's journey intersected with the Colorado Renaissance Festival, where he worked as a merchandise manager for various companies, notably with CIC Productions, supporting the popular comedy act Puke and Snot. Over the span of nearly 14 years, he took on roles ranging from merchandise management to talent relations, performances, and meet and greets. James's hands-on experience in these fields was acquired by traveling alongside performers and learning on the job.
James's influences in the world of acting are diverse. For live performances, he draws inspiration from Mark Sieve and Joe Kudla of Puke & Snot, who skillfully involve the audience in their stories and jokes. In film and television, James looks up to legends like Jack Nicholson, Christopher Walken, David Lynch, Clint Eastwood, Adam West, and William Shatner, recognizing their distinct perspectives and contributions.
Transitioning from the streets to the stage, James's journey continued in 2006 when he became involved with the Mid America Festivals Circuit, organizing and managing productions. His expertise grew, leading him to Austin, Texas, where he volunteered as part of the sound crew production for the renowned SXSW music conventions. This experience inspired him to pursue formal education in Austin, where he evolved from a Sound Engineer to an Audio Engineer, Producer, Record Label Owner, Talent Scout, and Publisher.
However, James's journey took an unexpected turn when a chance encounter led him to the world of film. Through a conversation in a music equipment repair shop, he discovered a new avenue for his talents. This eventually led him to join the set of Clint Eastwood's film "The Ballad of Richard Jewell," where he had the privilege of interacting with industry stalwarts like John Hamm and Paul Boucher, and even receiving personal direction from Clint Eastwood himself.
Since that pivotal moment, James has been involved in several films, starting with the student production "BearGator," which marked the beginning of his transition into the world of acting. He embraced lead roles in various films, demonstrating his commitment to the craft and his ability to adapt to changing environments and creative teams.
Throughout his journey, James N Moseley has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to exploring and excelling in various fields. From his beginnings as a street performer to his current endeavors in the world of film, his story serves as an inspiration to those who value continuous growth and the pursuit of their passions.
