Stefania Calatroni was born in 1966 in Milan, Italy. She's a freelance editor.
In 2016 Stefania won the Best Editing in a Feature Award at the PIFF Portsmouth International Film Festival (UK) for Roman Citizen (2015), movie shot in Kentucky with an American cast and crew.
At the beginning, she started working as a first assistant editor participating in movie and advertising post-productions, beside directors such as Giuseppe Tornatore, Renzo Martinelli, Zack Snyder and Ken Fox.
In 2005 Stefania was invited by the journalist Paolo Manazza to give a lecture on the subject of editing at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan.
As a full-fledged editor, over the years Stefania has worked mainly on documentaries, cultural programs and fiction. Among other works: "L'orfano" directed by Oliviero Toscani (Official Selection at the 55º Locarno International Film Festival); "Gold Virtuosi Awards" with Helena Bonham Carter, director Gyula Gefin; a series of nine-screens video installations for FMR-ART'È Ta Matete Gallery in Rome, directed by Robert Le Quesne and Dylan Kendle; the TV movie "Robin Hood raccontato da Veronica Pivetti", director Mario Addis; the award-winning short movie "Non farai del male" and the American featurette "Roman Citizen", both produced and directed by Luca Elmi.
She had long collaborated with 3D Produzioni working on projects for cinema and television, with national and international distribution, including: the series "Musei" directed by Giovanni Piscaglia; the series "Grand Tour: viaggio in Italia" with Alessandro Sperduti, directed by Claudio Poli and Giuseppe Bianchi; "Leonardo Sciascia: scrittore alieno", director Simona Risi; the feature films Munch: Love, Ghosts and Lady Vampires (2022) with Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and "The immortals: the wonders of the Museo Egizio" with Oscar-winning Jeremy Irons, both directed by Michele Mally.
