Götz Frömming
Director of Studies (ret.), studied German and history, first and second state examinations for the teaching profession at grammar schools, doctorate in German medieval studies (Dr. phil.).
Abitur at the humanistic Kronberg-Gymnasium in Aschaffenburg; six months of military service and nine months of civilian service at the rescue service; studies of German, history and philosophy in Frankfurt a.M. and Berlin (Humboldt University); traineeship in Berlin; teacher for German, history and politics. Worked as a subject teacher in Brandenburg, at Schule Schloss Salem and at a state grammar school near Baden Baden; appointment as a civil servant for life and promotion to Studienrat in 2005, to Oberstudienrat in 2010 and to Studiendirektor the following year. After returning to Berlin, senior class coordinator at Diesterweg-Gymnasium and department head at Lessing-Gymnasium. Doctorate in German medieval studies in 2012.
Voluntary work for the Bund Naturschutz in Bayern e. V. and as an exercise leader in the Bavarian Badminton Association.
2012 Beginning of political activity, initially with the Free Voters; 2013 Participation in the founding party conference of the Alternative for Germany and election to the Berlin state executive committee. Since 2016, member of the Federal Program Commission; collaboration in the establishment of the Desiderius Erasmus Foundation e. V..
Since September 2019, parliamentary director of the AfD parliamentary group. Full member of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education, full member of the Foundation Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
