No more thinking required, Mark! The second half of “Invincible’s” second season will fly its way into Amazon’s Prime Video on March 14 – the 21st anniversary of the inception of the comic book that inspired it.
Prime Video plans to premiere the second half of its eight-episode second season in March – with four new weekly episodes.
“Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age—except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet,” reads the show’s logline. “Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season 1, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.”

By now, fans have gotten used to waiting around the booth at Burger Mart for any kind of news related to Robert Kirkman's "Invincible." This week finally brought the release of a teaser trailer for season 2 of the acclaimed TV adaptation of Kirkman's comic book series, with the one-eyed Allen the Alien, voiced by Seth Rogen, acknowledging, "It's been a while. I think everyone agrees. It's been, like, a little ridiculous how long it's been." Yet the same could be said of the long-brewing live-action film adaptation of "Invincible," which is still happening, according to Kirkman.
Almost exactly two years ago, we heard the same thing: that the live-action "Invincible" movie was still happening, and that it would be separate from the animated series. Kirkman said there was a "two-track plan" for "Invincible," with the adult-oriented animated series going forward at Prime Video and a film series in development at Universal Pictures.

After two years without an update, “Invincible” is back … almost. The series is set to return for its second season on Amazon Prime Video in late 2023, as was revealed in a teaser featuring Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) discussing the upcoming episodes.
“What have you been up to? It’s been awhile,” Allen says to Mark as they dine at Burger Mart. “I think everyone agrees it’s been, like, a little ridiculous how long it’s been.”
“I’ve been busy writing, designing, storyboarding, voice acting, key posing, in-betweening, cleaning up, color slapping, comping the whole thing, and all that for, you know, roughly thousands of shots,” Mark replies. “So, it’s kind of a lot.”
