Exclusive: Lorenza Izzo (Hacks) has landed the female lead role in Prime Video’s El Gato (w/t) opposite Diego Boneta. The series, based on the comic book series El Gato Negro by Richard Dominguez, was ordered to series in February.

But Frank’s grief is interrupted when he learns his only inheritance, a seemingly worthless parcel of land on the border, sits atop the lair of a famous costumed vigilante—his father, “El Gato.” Now, Frank is in the crosshairs. To survive, he’ll have to solve mysteries decades in the making and unravel the truth about his father’s connections to a modern-day terror plot.

The Marvel Universe is a treasure trove of characters, and the X-Men are among its most beloved properties. Ever since Disney acquired Fox and its repository, Marvel fans have been asking for the live-action debut of the mutants after decades of hits and misses within the Fox Universe. While the animated X-Men ’97 was definitely a step in the right direction, it seems Marvel has reverted back to its old ways.

According to the latest update, the screenwriter for an X-Men movie has just been hired. And fans are not happy that Kevin Feige ignored Beau DeMayo and instead recruited Assassin’s Creed writer, Michael Lesslie.

With some connections on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 9 blossoming while others break, bartender Wells Adams admitted that Brayden Bowers wears his heart on his sleeve “almost to a detriment.”
“He doesn’t play his cards tight to the chest,” Adams told TheWrap. “It’s walking that fine line of being too emotionally honest and playing it cool, because it’s still pretty early in the season.”
While Bowers had started his time on the beach “hot and heavy” — according to Adams — with “Bachelor” alum Kat Izzo, their relationship came to an abrupt halt when new arrival Tanner Courtad asked Izzo on a date, to which she agreed. Izzo got ready for her date without saying a word to Bowers, leaving him in tears, before eventually ending their relationship in a heated confrontation.
“I love that kid,” Adams said. “I think he deserves to find someone special, whether that’s Kat or someone else.

In early 2020, we heard mention of an Alien vs. Predator anime series that had been made before the 20th Century Fox / Disney merger and never released. A few months ago, Joshua Izzo, who made Alien Day an official event while working at Fox, confirmed that an Alien vs. Predator anime series was produced, all ten episodes were completed, and now they’re just sitting in the Disney vault. Now the anime’s writers/consultants Dave Baker and Eric Calderon have revealed more details about the shelved series during an interview on the Best TV Never Made podcast!
The interview takes up two episodes, both of which can be found on the Best TV Never Made website. The show is hosted by Peter Holmstrom and Ryan Matsunaga.
Like Izzo said, the anime was originally envisioned as an adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics that followed the character Machiko Noguchi, and the...

Whoever wins, we lose. When Disney wins, however, everyone loses.
/Film reported back in May of 2023 that Disney, as part of its massive acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019, had inherited an already-complete 10-episode anime TV series based on the nerd-sating "Alien vs. Predator" series. The show's existence was confirmed by Joshua Izzo, the former director of licensing at 20th Century Fox, on the "Perfect Organism" podcast. Izzo said that the 10-episode series was complete, but that it was locked in a vault at Disney, hidden from public view. This is a common practice during mergers and management changes. The new administration as a film studio or record label, wanting to work solely on their own projects, will often shelve the previous administration's projects as a mode of keeping the slate clean. This means a lot of excellent art has never seen the light of day, or was released with so little fanfare,...

Now the folks at the Perfect Organism podcast have scored an interview with Joshua Izzo, who made Alien Day an official event while working at Fox. During this interview, Izzo confirmed that an Alien vs. Predator anime series was produced, all ten episodes were completed… and now they’ve just been sitting on a shelf (a shelf that is now inside the Disney vault) for years.
Izzo said (with thanks to Avp Galaxy for the transcript), “One thing that did not happen during Alien Day in 2016 was – there is sitting at Disney now, at 20th [Studios], 10 episodes of a fully completed Alien vs. Predator anime series that I produced. It’s done. It’s in the can. It’s mixed, it’s finished. It...

The Alien and Predator franchises, long connected in the world of comic books, have remained separate entities in the many years since Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem crash landed in theaters back in 2007, with Disney now holding the rights to both franchises. Predator returned last year in Prey, while two brand new Alien projects are in the works – a movie and a TV series.
But will we ever see the Alien and Predator franchises crossover again in the future? Well, it turns out there’s an existing crossover project between the two that we Haven’T ever seen.
The website AvP Galaxy informs us this week that the beans were spilled by Josh Izzo during a recent episode of the Perfect Organism podcast. Izzo is the former Director of Licensing at 20th Century Fox, and he revealed during the podcast interview that a finished Alien vs. Predator animated series has been...

Disney is finally making a new "Alien" movie following the company's acquisition of Fox in 2019, and in the wake of its successful "Predator" prequel "Prey" on Hulu no less. But it turns out, the company is already sitting on an animated mash-up of these two franchises that is done and ready to go. Unfortunately, the powers that be at the House of Mouse have decided not to release it, leaving us with the knowledge that a 10-episode "Alien vs. Predator" anime is just rotting in a vault for no good reason.
The information came directly from Joshua Izzo, the former licensing director at 20th Century Fox before the Disney acquisition. He spoke with the "Perfect Organism Podcast" on Alien Day last month (via IGN) and decided to spill the beans, revealing that he worked on an "Alien vs. Predator" anime series -- one that's been completely finished and is now...

As Mrs. Fableman recently said, "Movies are dreams that you never forget." There's more truth to that statement than not — even the most grounded, photo-realistic movie has that more-real-than-real quality to it, an intangibility that separates the "dream" from the "dreamer" in the audience.
Perhaps that's why visiting a museum full of memorabilia from cinema history feels so special. It takes those celluloid dreams and makes them feel that much more real, proving that those images and moments were indeed created and constructed by a team of talented artists.
The museum soundstage at Lightstorm Entertainment is just such a place, filled as it is with screen-used props and setpieces from filmmaker James Cameron's impressive cinema history. It helps that Cameron's background in engineering and various other facets of technology lends that much more realistic weight to these items: even up close, they look as if they're fully legitimate,...
